Week 11

EL CLASICÓ

La Liga| Saturday 19th November 2005 | 20:00 CET| Estadio Santiago Bernabéu

This is for me the biggest match of the season. It doesn't get any better then "El Clasicó" at Bernabéu.

Barcelona's recent form has been scary, but i think that Real Madrid are also in form, despite the 2 losses against Valencia and Deportivo. The team has been dealing with 5 long-term injuries on important 1st team players in the last couple of weeks. Ronaldo, Zidane, Baptista, Helguera and Gravesen. add to that, that Beckham has been playing with back-pain in a few matches. despite that they're only 3 pts under La Liga leaders "Osasuna" and are already through to the 1/8 finals in Champions League. that's why i think that Real Madrid have a very strong squad this year.

now to the big match on saturday. if all goes well, Real Madrid coach Luxemburgo will have a full squad available. (with the exception of Woodgate who's injured.) The biggest surprise is that Ronaldo has said: I will play against Barcelona. He's recovering well and all indicates that he will be ready.
Baptista is also working to get ready for saturday. And as it looks right now, he will be ready too. Zidane has recovered also.

Barcelona's Mark Van Bommel will definitely miss the match and Belletti is a doubt. Deco will most likely take Van Bommel's place in midfield. The rest should be ok and ready to play.

It will be a great match, though I'd prefer not to have so many players coming out from injuries.

It's impossible to keep a clean sheet vs Barça so...

3-1 :D

Ronaldo x 2, Raul / Eto'o

This match is going to be amazing for sure. Im expecting lots of goals too. I dont really want to make any predictions just yet but hopefully we win and we do it very nicely.

Deco is talking a lot of trash before this game and its real annoying.
I hope Ronaldo has a hattrick and Eto is blank so they can be even after a month of R9 being injured

After this match Madrid won't be living in denial anymore.

They've been playing like sh*t for so long that they don't even consider it to be a crisis anymore. They think they're in form. This is gonna be an eye opener.

I've never been so confident in a win at the Bernabeu... in fact, this is the first time in my life that I'm so sure we'll prevail there. And the situation on the table is not so awesome for us as it was last season so we won't calculate anything, we're going for a win no matter what.

Visca el Barca and smash them!

Why do you guys consider Read Madrid "in form." They haven't played an impressive match since they played Rosenborg and that's not saying much.

Barca has outscored their opponents 18 to 1 in the past five matches. How can you bet against that?

I say 3-1 Barca. And I also say that Marca will call it a crisis.
