I just made 9 teams in a 24 hour period that included sleep and an 8 hour shift at work......... What a day.

By the way the 7 listed above just so happen to finish:

The Seventh National Team Pack

This pack has 16 Teams in it from 4 of the 6 confederations:

CAF: Liberia, Seychelles, Swaziland, Mauritius, Namibia
UEFA: Montenegro, Moldova, Lativia, Estonia
AFC: Nepal, Afghanistan, Brunei Darussalam, Mongolia, Loas
CONCACAF: Guadeloupe, Martinique

This pack took roughly 2 days to make.

Guadeloupe is the last team to be made that is participating the in the Gold Cup so I will be working on that tournament for a while hoping to get it released before Gold Cup Kickoff.

By my count we have 32 teams left.

I read about their match today, and it sounded a bit unfair. today's match against japan is now officially the first match of montenegro's NT - they lost 0-2 against japan. but they have already played a match in march when they defeated hungary 2-1. so they won their first match and "officially" they lost it? that's mean. this match against hungary could have become a legend. hungary scored in the very first minute, montenegro won nevertheless.

Just kidding i had heard they lost. I'm following that Kirin Cup kinda closely. Japan is always interesting but, Colombia being in the Copa America with USA, plus Montenegro's first actual competition... Kind of an exciting 3 team tourny.

Those tournaments are always great. i just keep missing them. austria and switzerland hosted a 4 nations tournament last year, and they will this year. last year with venezuela and costa rica, this year japan and chile. malta and cyprus often host tournaments... i wish luxemburg would, that would be in my neighborhood...

Do you have a link for it August? I want to know about ANY international Footballing tournaments out there. Once I get these teams working in manager mode I want to make the tournaments as well and incorparte them in. For Invitational Tournaments I will make it the award for winning in a lower division of UEFA or something like that. If you win in Division 5 of UEFA you go to the Kirin Cup.

Or you win Division 3 in CONCACAF you go to the Pan American Games.

Those are examples of course I haven't even gotten the regular leagues working.

Anyway I am just getting done on lunch here. I should be able to get Madagascar, Burundi, Sierra Leone, and Gambia released tonight around midnight to 2am my time (EST USA). If I have time I will do Mauritania as well tonight.

I still don't have an away kit for Burundi though and I'm hoping to avoid having to make one myself (cause my kits suck). I will also need a Niger and Georgia. I don't think any are available yet.

Your manager mode plans include fantasy leagues for national teams, did i get that right?

You mean links for the 4nations tournaments? There is no web site for them as far as i know. It's not even a very real tournament. It's just four teams, playing against each other without a final. it's more like a "collective friendly". i know from that tournament from the fifa web site and the web sites of the austrian and swiss federations.
I also doubt they keep doing that tournament after the euros. i think it's some kind of a test (last year in sw., this year in austria) like the confed. cup was for germany 2006.

This is an example of why I like the World Elo Ratings better than the FIFA ones. I don't know how the formulas work, but Elo ratings usually seem more reasonable to me than FIFA. FIFA ratings can be extremely erratic at times, esp amongst lower level teams (I think after the world cup Guinea vaulted something like 40 spots, wth) Also it does incorporate all the results, not just ones that occured during official FIFA matches. So the Montengro win over Hungary was factored in. Incidentally, this allows the rating to include non-FIFA teams - even Vatican City is on there, despite having played only one match. Plus, it gets updated much more frequently than FIFA's bimonthly version. Anyways, enough of my ramblings....

They lump teams together and calculate kind of "lazily" when a little more work would help considerably I think. Did you know there are over 10 other very widely used rating systems?

woah....who made the Netherlands patch? seriously inflated attributes there my friend! maybe there should be some quality control to the patches that are released....to have Holland as a better team that Italy, France, Brazil, Germany etc...is INSANE! Ruud was ranked a 99 when I imported that!

As a note, I edited the player attributes extensively in this patch and I'm not 100% happy with them. Future updates will be available. I apologize for any inconvienence.

You can download my attributes patch and edit the other teams and will find wayne rooney, gianluigi buffon, Thierry Henry and many others with a 99 rating as well.

The attributes patch is also not 100% and a 2nd attributes patch is being worked on but it will take time.

You should improve the players ratings specially of Bhaichung Bhutia because he has won AFC Player of the year of Developing nations in on two occasions,
But still you done a good job.It would be good if you just update India a little bit.If I wanted I could have change them but it is a matter of India's prestige.

You gotta read before blindly downloading patches. I am making 200+ teams and trying to fit them on a scale of 1-99. I have to use the whole scale... You can download my attributes patch and edit the other teams and will find wayne rooney, gianluigi buffon, Thierry Henry and many others with a 99 rating as well.

The attributes patch is also not 100% and a 2nd attributes patch is being worked on but it will take time.

Its fine, I backed everything up but still....for Ruud and others to be so overrated was a little surprise....

Your patches are a wonderful thing, it was just a little shocking to see the Netherlands be so good
