f*cking shameful the direct red card for Alcides, Bruno Aguiar was side by side to Liedson, the ref had to be influenced by the crowd because of the red card to Rui Jorge

but Sporting deserved to win, we were a nulity in the attack. It was a poor game overall though by both teams

The only good thing in this match was the return of Mantorras

Relatively easy win for Sporting that controled the whole game, except in the last 5/10 minutes of each half.

All in all Manuel Fernades was the only player that seemed to care whether we win or lose

The dive was as pathetic as the Geovanni dive. Rui Jorge barely touched in Geovani, same as Alcides. The ref choose that approach, so he had to use it to both side. Besides you should also remember that Petit should have been sent off for that foul on Sá Pinto, who was clearly touched. I think that the win for Sporting was so clear and deserved and the poor performance was so obvious that you shouldn´t even touch refeering matters. Players from both teams dived (that foul on Petit by Rochemback was ridiculous, same as half of the fouls around the Benfica box that were inexistent free kicks for Sporting).

He could have called the foul but he could NOT show the direct red card, Liedson wasn't isolated... and that play influenced the result clearly in Sporting's favour. Look at the hole in the defence for the 2nd goal.

And yes Petit should have been sent off as well, but no the win wasn't clear it was 2 - 1, not 3 or 4 - 1.


What you are basically saying is for instance that a team who gets clearly dominated but loses due to a fake penalty or an offside goal should not complain about the refereeing because they deserved to lose. Nice mentality chap!

There´s nothing wrong with my mentality. The problem is that you are biased. Btw just remember that Sporting scored not in the play were Alcides was sent off but later. That so "called" refeering mistake (that no one mentions on the tv besides you) had nothing to do with the goal, so i don´t know what you are babbling around in your last paragraph. All i said is that the Sporting win was so flawless and obvious that it´s just a waste of time to talk about refeering mistakes that had no influence in the result.. I think you misunderstood me. Anyways im done, this doesn´t even concern me.

P.s Ill be waiting for your Liedson cheat sig. It will be a good scapegoat for your team weakness and terrible performance.
One more thing in good portuguese "Quem tem telhados de vidro não deve mandar pedras", just remember the Karadas incident.

playing bad but win we can stand but playing bad and lose is to much. we play a very ugly and defensive football and the worst thing is that it wasn't giving us any results.
