Gerrard's second was the best I've seen in a while. Stunning strike.

England may need a few of them if Rooney and Owen aren't around! :boohoo:

hopefully Boro will do the same damage to them as last time, and Charlton can be a difficult team, they're playing awfully lately though. Maybe Manu will lose some spark with Rooney out.

sorry can i please have highlights for the villa game?
Stupid AUS foxtel rathers newcastle vs birmingham then this match, although that was quite an important match.
Thanks fellas
btw now that birmingham are relegated, do you guys think we will renew our interest in jermaine pennant as he would want to leave?

Pennant has not done enough to wear a Liverpool shirt if you ask me. He seems to inconsistant. Although maybe we could gamble on him sunddenly realising hes gotta do something on the big stage.

Good too see Man Utd drew 0-0 with Boro tonight (Mainly thanks to a keeper by the name of Brad Jones). Anyway, that now means we need to win and anything less for Man Utd means third for them. Suspense on the last day! ooooooooooooooooooo. :fool:

boro has force a draw out of man u... so they have to win their last home match to ensure 2nd spot or we have to win our last match against pompey to have any chance of forcing to the last minute..

We apologize for keeping the yellow too long

3-1 win is a good close-out to the season. Hopefully Alonso's injury isn't to bad....no Garcia or Fowler already for Saturday..Xabi is crucial.

11 successive victories equal our club record if i'm not wrong.. hopefully they can do 1 better next week in the FA Cup final... :D

we are talking about charlton here away from home.. they $uck sh!t i'm not a bit surprise at that scoreline at all...

Owell nonethe less we have had a great season. Not the best but good. Great to hear fowler staying for another year and seeing him thank benitez by opening up the scoring. Dam Cisse hope we dont sell him. Hes a good player we need to play him MORE. Sudden impact as soon as he came on. Poor Alonso hopefully we'll have a full strength club including alonso against west ham seeing as they are playing well.
Come on 'Pool! FA CUP GLORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 :rockman:

With Robbie signing, I think Cisse is out. As a player, I think he should stay, as he's quite good, but it seems it's his personality that's keeping him on the bench. And the horrible misses, but still....

I'm quite glad Robbie is at Anfield for one more year though!

Second place wasn't to be, but we should have no problems qualifying for the CL, even after a looong season and a World Cup. We'll have to avoid injuries come mid season though.

Well as I read on the BBC site. "Cisse has scored 20 goals this year, for someone who rarely plays, thats incredible"

In the past 5 games, hes looked like the Cisse that played for Auxerre. Finally willing to try cheeky shots and using his pace when its needed and essential. I'm almost pleading for Rafa not to ship him out next season. I'd prefer Morientes to go! :p

3rd place is a great result if you ask me. We're beginning to gel as a team and you can see how strong the side is that Rafa has pieced together. I'm rubbing my hands with glee in anticipation for next season.

Winning the FA Cup would be a damn good finale for the season. A good league performance and a Cup title.

I would have to say i was utterly dissapointed by our performance in CL this year. We crashed out to a mediocre side.

Cisse has improved. I think he deserves at least til the January transfer window to prove himself once & for all. El Moron should leave though :jap:

That word would be rather appropriate to caractherize Liverpool´s performance in both legs and not the quality of the Benfica side.

The mediocre word in it's core/origin means the same thing as average. Liverpool were piss poor. Benfica were average, and you know the rest.

It just didn't happen for us. I suppose the luck that was by our side last year eventually had to disappear sometime and that was the time.

Looking forward to the FA Cup final, I might be going too Cardiff for the day, just to be there in the atmosphere of the FA Cup majesty! I've not got a ticket, although I might buy one if theres a tout about (H)
