Yes way. Kezman scored a few too during his time here, but missed so many more. How many times did Kuyt waste chances today, was it 3 or 4?...I lost count. Still he has scored 1 more than Sheva this season so I shouldn't say too much I suppose.....hehhehehehehehee

But Kezman had like, zero work rate, and a ego twice as high. Kuyt misses a few chances but he's scoring and it seems the supporters already like him. If you wanna make a bet i'm up to it, anyway.

Is it me or is Xabi Alonso's long rang passing not up to its usual standards?

On several occasions against Tottenham he wasted possession with a 30-40 yard pass which just went out of play.

Dont get me wrong i think hes a very good player... but compared to last season, his long rang passing isnt what it used to be.

As for Kuyt... very good player, nicely taken goal 2day... hope to see plenty more where that came from.

Yeah I agree Kuyt does seem like a harder worker than Kezman. I hope things work out for him at Anfield. I cant bet with you Grunge, because I dont gamble mate, never.

for me that was Kezman's problem, endless amounts of talent, but totally and 100% suited to Serie A rather than a fast-tempo league such as the Premiership.

But still, not at all a bad player.

The difference with Kuyt and Kezman is that Kuyt is a total package player. He can drop back, he can go out to the wing and he has one of the best work rates of any forward around. His workrate is more like a dogged MF than a forward. I think he'll do just fine. I knew he was going to have an adaptation period, but he has more tools than Kezman and I think he will turn out to be one of the heroes of the Kop.

Jonaz, I wouldn't worry about Xabi's passing, he'll be fine. Remember, a run of bad form is not something to be too worried about. I don't think it's what you could call a drop in class or anything of the sort. Plus, you are citing what you saw in one game, hardly grounds to claim he has declined as a player. :)

We deserved 3 points tonight but we were unlucky and the referee was terrible..There was a clear penalty after Sabri's freekick somebody(Carragher or Finnan) handballed but referee couldn't gave the penalty..Arda,Ümit Karan and Sabri was brilliant..

I thought Alonso was fantastic against Tottenham and his passing was fairly much spot on :$

Totally disagree - Liverpool deserved the 3 points. Sure, Galatasaray had a lot more spirit in the second half but Liverpool could easily have been 4 up if Gerrard had stuck the other away.

I believe you could say Gala was unlucky not to have got a point, but to say they deserved all three is a bit too much, imho. What about Liverpool then? What did they deserve from the match? Could we get 3 points each?

Ok then let's say we deserve at least 1 point :) We really played well in the 2nd half..Liverpool supporters were praying for the match to end 3-2..Liver players were wasting time at the corner flag in the last minutes..It's not too easy to play against Liverpool at Anfield but Anfield was like Ali Sami Yen..Our supporters were brilliant their noise was louder than Liverpool supporters by far..Also at the 2nd half Galatasaray played very well..As i said before we deserved at least 1 point but we couldnt get it..Congrats to Liver :jap:

It was a pretty good contest at the end, could've been more interesting if Gala hadn't fallen asleep for most of the early parts of the match. Crouch's 2nd goal was stunning, but he's been trying to score that same goal so many times for both Liverpool and the national team and usually only ended up making himself look like a goose.

I kept hearing that crouch had made a stunin goal, and when i saw it yesterday i must say that it was a good goal. I really felt though that liverpool winning was justified because gala had their chances but were unable to finish them. i will congratulate them on a game well played :)

Not ALL the England fans CarlosDanger, mostly only the Man U contingent boo'd Crouch. Thats a Man U - Liverpool thing though.

True enough (Y).

But his selection did get some pretty heavy criticism. I've always liked the lad, how can you not like a 6'7'' skinny a$$ mofo who does the robot and tries bicycle kicks instead of headers?
