Their manager is an effin genius at cup cometitions. He's built his side to win CL and all he focuses on is winning the CL. And Voronin is an overrated bundesliga player. I know that they're hoping for another Berbatov but this isn't the guy.

We arent good enough to win the league, that's the problem. Benitez is a genius at all levels, he won La Liga twice with Valencia beating Madrid and Barça to the title. With 1 or 2 world class players to help Gerrard out there we might stand a chance.

This one is on Rafa....Crouch should have been brought on earlier, Bellamy could and SHOULD have played with him, not Kuyt. Gerrard couldn't play his game......bah, we couldn't even win a cup trophy this year.(N)

Blame Rafa here.....he just got it ALL wrong this time.

As far as transfers, we have NO wingers...Speedy Gonzales and Jermaine Pennant are NOT good enough! Gerrard plays in the MIDDLE. The Sissoko/Mascherano mess just messed the midfield, Gerrard plays in the middle. Alonso IS first choice. Gerrard plays in the middle. Bring back Cisse and either Kuyt or Bellamy must go.

And, one more thing...Kaka should have not been standing after making that move on the second Inzaghi goal...this is an EPL team, so we need players who are capable of making "British tackles".:hump:aka. Wes Brown on Arjen Robben, this past Saturday.

Well the You'll Never Walk Alone was in Athens but we didn´t took advantage of Milan´s errors. In my opinion Inzaghi goal was a hand but i'll still like to look at it again.

Don´t worry Red Fans We Will Never Walk Alone

I'm afraid we're going to fall off the map, in terms of European competitions. In 2005, it was all about Liverpool EVEN BEFORE the final because Milan's position was cemented. This time around the focus was on Milan prior to the game, which is why we really needed the win. They're going to be back next season but I can't see us reaching another European final for a long time...even a semi-final will be very difficult. The overall mood around our club was too much of a looking ahead to bigger things one...Rick Parry says that being champions of the EPL is a priority BEFORE the final this year as opposed to AFTER, in 2005. And let's face it, with this manager, we're not going to be competetive in the Premiership, so this was the chance for us....and it's gone begging. The cycle is now complete. Change is needed, in a big way. We need a bon-a-fide goal scorer!!!!!

Getting rid of Kuyt would be about the silliest move ever.

I'd gladly take him at Barcelona.

I'd rather have the faster Cisse to complement Crouch and Bellamy. If we don't get Cisse back off of loan, then we need a pure goal scorer....and Kuyt wasn't one this season.

What continues to really sting, is the fact that the one guy who could have been deadly for us, plays in Liverpool....but for Everton. He's a proven Prem goal scorer who would have been a tremendous addition last off-season, and his name is Andy Johnson....the gaffer has built this team for Europe only.

It's only been 24 hours....I tell ya, the Copa America seems like it's years away.....

I agree there, but Kuyt was never a pure goal scorer. He scored a lot in Holland, but he did many other things as well. I would say, pair Kuyt with a pure goal scorer and you'd have the most lethal partnership in Europe. Kuyt does so many things, he's a tireless worker, he can pass, he gets to spots, and he could definitely complement a poacher. He still scored 14 goals in 34 appearances, which isn't bad, but I think he'll get more next year.

You don't think Darren Bent could do the job in 'Pool? He's got pace, he can score, and he played with such crap support in Charlton, I bet with the guys you put around him, he could get it done.

I also have read that Rafa's commitment next season is all about the League. So you have to believe he will fortify his squad with the Prem in mind this summer.

That's actually a pretty good choice....I saw an interview of his(Bent) on Sky Sports 2 days ago, and was reminded again that he's available. He'd probably end up playing a backup role. But, Rafa would justify the buying of a David Villa type player...frankly, I think we've got/tried far too many of those.

Villa is one hell of a player though.... the guy can score...

That;s exactly what I said about a certain someone named Fernando Morientes. I don't mind these kind of guys but it takes a while for them to adjust to the EPL...sometimes, they just don't.

True enough.

I think Bent would do alright at Anfield anyway.

Hey guys, I don't really keep up with football that much anymore, so the first time I saw Daniel Agger play was during the Final the other night. Man, that kid is good, he's a future captain, and you need to do everything you can to keep him there until he retires. Great defender. I was very impressed. More impressed with him than with anyone on the pitch, although I'm not sure if he was responsible for that second goal, I don't remember.

I totally agree about Kuyt and with a Super Striker like Eto'o he will be amazing and we will score many goals. I would like Tevez to join also. I think Bent will do well here if we got him but still I dont rate him highly. Hope we will be contenders next year :)

Hmm..An Ipod ad, surely even you can do better ewan.

Well, If Torres comes over, it might be a new situation at the top of the premiership, i mean the 2-3 place, Chelsea getting back on top!

It's the symbolism thingy man. They're plugged in to You'll Never Walk Alone. Hahah. Think we'll need to do a lot better than just Torres. The owners need to back their talk (which is pretty much everything they've done thus far) with signings that signal serious intent. Plus we need a whole new set of wingers and maybe a ball playing leftback once the striking department is sorted.

And then a new iPod for me.
