A reliable striker yes, but way past his prime. He was mostly brought in to accommodate/support Diego Costa. He himself said so in some interview i read ages ago. He was a good acquisition for them, just for one season, though. If you watched Atleti matches you could see right away that he was not the same player he used to be (that damn injury fucked him up even more). Most of the time he couldn't play for 90 minutes without his level of performance dropping with every minute in the end, and even Raúl García was being used in his role (also a great player for them, underrated) to support Costa.nady;3739256 said:They brought in David Villa also who is a reliable striker.
