Why are almost all of my shots lobs? Does this have to do with my positioning or what?

You are either holding L1, double tapping the shoot button, or pressing R1 after you shoot

Yes, I do it once about every 3-4 games, takes a little practice at first.

I think that chips are the most effective way to score in one on one situations with the keeper. When the keeper is at least 6-7 metres away from his goal and is about 2 metres away from you you press the shoot button and after that you press R1.

And the best thing is, it works better when you hold the shoot button longer. As long as you don't fill the bar completely, chip shots will be on target and very difficult for the keeper to save.

Chances are you're pressing R1 after you shoot, as said above. This will perform the lower lob.

The thing about scoring from lobs is not to use L1. That, for me, is only good for the occasional reaction shot when the keeper's stranded or something. For scoring 1-on-1s you need to use R1. Put just about any amount of power on the shot, and AFTER you've part-filled the power bar, press R1. The player will leave the keeper on the ground and dink it over him.

R1 lobs are a very easy and effective way to score ,but i prefer using L1 and lobbin the keeper from 20-30 yards ...like this one

i have scored so many lob gaols. Its easy but takes lots of practice.

Lobs are the classy way to score goals. I like to do it when it's 1-on-1 between me and the goalkeeper.

An even better way to lob the keeper on 1 on 1's is to fake a shot first and then lob him (short lob, R1).

u can always choose to on the "press square two times to lob" option........so u're able to chip easier.......

lobs are great...I usualy use L1 with the good players, crap players will end up lobbing it over the north stand

Which is a fun game too, see who can kick the ball out of the stadium, or the alternative, tho can hit the corner flag
