Yet again, sorry to say this but it`s :boohoo: for FIFA 05'. and UEFA C.L game.

All other PES/WE versions = GARBAGE compared to WE8LWE.

However, WE8LWE is only released in Japan - and many people can`t play it because of the format difference. As you know Japan uses NTSC-J, while Europe uses PAL and USA NTSC/US.

WE8LWE is the best football game today, and it will only get better.

Everything is improved..even the stuff FIFA fans complained..

What`s better:

- gameplay is even slower, somehow Konami inserted the right gameplay speed just like we see today in real life football.

- The player movement is the best.. it was never like this..watching a real football match on tv, and playing this game ain`t much of a big difference I`ll tell you that right now..

- Passing is much better, and more powerfull.

- You have more freedom on the pitch, where you can just pass the ball around without having 10 defenders on your neck all the time.

- AI is alot smarter + tougher, the defence really gets tight when you come near the goal.

- Shooting is superb..much more powerful..finally you can have a good powerful + realistic strikes..

- Corner kicks got even better..now you really have to defend your goal.

- New player animations..

- Elastico move done by Ronaldinho and Ibrahimovic.. (beat that FIFA)

- you can buy colored nets and sh!t.. :rockman: :rockman:

so yet again..UEFA C.L & FIFA = GARBAGE.

true, just watched a gameplay video and yes, the player movement is much better than in any other footy game, the same goes to the AI. unfortunately, i won't get it as a pc-gamer, as konami's released it only for ps2.

i'm a pc-gamer, do u think, i should buy a ps2 for we8le, gt4 and the latest version of tekken?

edit: i think, konami should use this gameplay + the opportunity of taking quick free kicks + the opportunity of moving the wall at freekicks + the jayjay okocha-trick + the licences for at least all the leagues (EPL, Bu-Li, Ligue1 and the three leagues, which are already full-licenced), this would make almost a perfect PES5/WE9

Yes bro, buy PS2 (already pre-modified) so you won`t have any hassles getting imported games to work..alot of people say oh do a knife trick, or swap magic disc that`s all BS.. I know so many people who f*cked up their console so a pre-mod is a way to go.. you can get one here www.modchipman.com they`re in the states I believe they do provide international shipping but there must be some shop that sells them in Europe too..trust me bro..you won`t miss your PC one bit..this game is something else.. WE8LWE..its beyong gaming world.. this is a reality now..

I think we still have 2 more games to look forward at.. WE9 and WE9 International or Final Evolution..so still alot of time to spend with my PS2.

After that BRING ON PS3. and WE 10

i played this game yesterday. konami is absolutely brilliant. im gonna play some more. dont expect me to post for another few weeks lol

I believe they should at least release a PC version, I am a Sony fan all the way but after getting a 52inch HDTV it is hard to even play on my PS2 (its time for the PS3) when games dont support 480p and then even some that dont support widescreen like WE8I. I will stick to PES4 on my PC if I want to play Konami's game. Another reason I say this is because for people that dont know much about console editing, they can still patch the PC version with Wolf's patch very easily. Instead of having to learn about rebuilding PS2 images.

Well defton..My parents own a widescreen tv too..I`ve used it once..now I play on my regular 21" tv and it`s superb.. don`t really like big tv`s...I`ll stick to my 21" incher until PS3 gets out..

PS2 is the main platform for WE series so don`t expect Konami to release this version on PC anytime soon..maybe WE9..

This WE8LWE is a really another WE game.. PES4/WE8 suck..compared to this version..Konami also has introduced a first touch system..but it`s nothing like in FIFA..sorry to say this but its way better ..

i'm not sure, but i think louike and renzo (french patchmakers) are going to release or already have released a patch including fernando's translation (WE8JAP, standard). it's a shame that konami does release the game only in Japan and only for ps2,i'm gonna wait for pes5/we9i to have the great new features (plus some others like hopefully the possibility for quick free-kicks, throw-ins and corners). if all the features of we8le were already in pes4 and we8/we8i, there would never have been an argument(even from open-minded fifa-fans) that Fifa's/UCL's gameplay can compete with konami's games

WE8LWE features only Jap. language for the menus and everything else.. however, there`s 6 different commentaries.. english/spanish/french/german/italian/japanese.. why would they include this and not 6 diff. languages like in WE7IJ.. maybe running out of space..

I`m not even worried.. patches will sort this out.

Being a big FIFA/UEFA (f*cking black bars but a great game) fan I will have to admit that Konami has done a much better job with WE8 Liveware. I still feel that they run gay :lui: in WE8LWE though. Good job otherwise Konami.

I played the game, i dont make judgements without playing it first. They still run gayish, though not as bad as before. It just bothers me to no end.
