Yeah it's a bit plain. Use some action shots and use the filters and all the options with photoshop. It looks like you did it with normal MS Paint.

u should make the players be in color and u should leave the bg black greyish and put a reddish border around each player, like around the picture of each player that way it wont look as plain.

its basically the same just a changed font and added a gradient as your background
