This is a variation on Deutchland's thread of late about injury.

I was wondering what is the longest time you've seen someone out injured for?

I've seen Sami Hyypia out for 15 months with a damaged spine + surgery.

What about you?

I usually see 5 or 6 5 month+ injuries per season (even in my 1st)

ive said it before and i'll say it again.

I bought Robbie Fowler for 20m. the first day i got him it said he would be out for 18months with damaged cruitate ligaments. He retired from football a couple of days later.

I have Vieri out for 12 months with damaged cruciate ligaments.. from an Italy-Spain match!! I dont want any more int. caps for vieri, but ive got a replacement, trezeguet. and with bayern, after winning european midfielder and 2nd or 3rd forward of europe, he had damaged cruciate ligaments and was out for 8 months.
something else, Mark Kerr (Falkirk) needed knee ligaments healed with physiotherapy in 2005, so have monthly physios on him if you're smart enough to buy him.

I would NEVER pay £20m for Robbie Fowler. I've only ever got him once (for £4m) and he was CRAP!

You can get Nesta for £20m!

longest time injured has to be Darren Anderton, the injury spans the whole of his career.

after scoring 5 in 6
he went out for 2 yrs

also ronny johnsen always gets knee injuries
every month
he was injured 10 times in one season
like in real life!!!!!!!!

yes indeed, it was on 00/01 version. I'd never buy him now, hes past his best anyway. And if you were wondering, i wanted him for novelty value because i already had Michael Owen so i wanted Robbie upfront with him just for a laugh.

I also once had Ronaldo out for 2yrs with Damaged Knee Ligaments.

However, that was because he was out for 12 months, played him once and whithin 2 mins got injured again....... for 12 months..... Stupid me played him on 90%!!!

I've baught Emile M'penza. He stay in my team, Real Madrid for 10 years but was injured for more than 4 years (longuest injury 12 months)

the longest ive seen is 15 months 2, i bought a player for 10 million marcelo dalgado and he retired a couple of months after me paying 10 million for him

UNLUCKY! I never pay more than £1m for players over 33 incase this happens.

I have heard that this can make him come back to "action" sooner.

Any Ideas???
