Those freakin losers. One they ruled the likes of Southampton. Look at them now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some prat said that they were considering Steve Bruce to replace Hoddle. Why would he when Birmingham are better than Spurs?

erm, saints are 3rd in the league so it's not as if a **** side beat them... and i hardly think spurs will go down. bad start to the season but look at the quality that is available, and when they play well they're a very good side.

the last 25mins v saints it was all spurs, if they can do that at home for the fll 90mins then there are no worries. hoddle might go, but spurs will stay up.

Whats to suggest that Spurs wouldn't go down? They did in 1977. They are consistently mediocre and still think they are among the elite of British football, when in reality they are on the same level as Aston Villa. I've been following Tottenham since 82, I know **** when I see it. After all have ypou forgotten also how close they came to the drop in the 90's?

still above the relegation zone, and if hoddle gets replaced (trevor brooking would be my bet) then they may go on and do well. we're only 6 games in... it's way too early to say who's going down.

2 yrs ago saints were in the same position, didn't win for 8 games then stuart gray got sacked, in came gordon strachan and we finished 11th... hardly sounding like a relegation battle.

I didn't say they weren't a quality side did I? I was saying that Spurs once ruled teams like this, decades ago, up until the 90's. It's sad to see how far Spurs have declined while one time no hopers like Southampton have improved to become cup finalists, European contenders and a top ten side who whip Spurs every time they play.

what a goal from beattie.. (the freekick)... well, to be frank, hoddle do look doom... he could be out of a job by next week...

To say that Spurs are going down after just 6 games is certainly premature.

However, it doesn't look good for the moment. Hoddle always maintains that we should judge him when he has his whole squad fit, but when would that be? Spurs never seem to have all their players available.

This summer's purchases, with the exception of Kanoute, have yet to settle. Postiga showed glimpses of brilliance but could potentially do a Forlan and not score for 30 games, while Zamora just looks out of his depth at the moment.

Carr, Ziege, King are all quality defenders and when they are all fully fit the Tottenham rearguard should tighten up. At the moment they're leaking too many goals.

Nothing would please me more. To the guy who said Sir Trev would go to Spurs..naaaaah. I, for one, am looking forward to us going up and them going down. Will it happen? Probably not..but allow a fallen a team a few daydreams..;)

Spurs should stay up whilst Glenn Hoddle can rot in the Football League for being a rat bastard. :)

I watched the highlights of the game last night and Spurs didn't seem that bad. Beattie's free kick was phenomenal and is impossible to defend against, while his header from the corner was purely a fact of poor defending.

Spurs need to shore up their defences. Their midfielders perhaps need to take more defensive responsibility and their defenders need to improve on their positioning and defensive instincts.
