Juventino your threads in this forum are an absolute pleasure.

I bookmarked that blog a few months ago because it looked good, but a little too much for me. I think that much tactical refinement takes away the fun of big signings and winning trophies.

Thank you for the kind words, gentlemen. I wish it would be lively enough to carry succession games like this, but this will remain the only forum where I'm posting updates and pitching these weird ideas anyway, hehe.

Ilaje, if I were Gus this would be about the time I'd kidnap you and bring you out to the desert with a hood over your head. Where's the first batch?

Oh. It's disappointing you didn't post any updates while playing, that's kind of the point of this thread.

As a punishment to this community for not playing this awesome succession game, I'm considering making each of my Draft picks from here on out in 11 hours and 59 minutes.

Sir_Didier_Drogba will ban you and I will pretend you are in touch with me and make all of your picks from this Tijuana team starting with the worst real player.

Well, here's the table from Clausura 2013. Apparently we lost in the semis of the Ligilla to Club America... ergh.

There is literally zero money towards transfers and we're 5.5 million in the hole. Uh oh. Should be interesting to see how things pan out. For now it looks like I'm gonna have to sacrifice some players. Gus will be proud of my tight budget skills and men managing ability.

This is his expression of approval:

Apparently the money problems might be more severe than once thought.

I gave him a low ball offer because he's just a punk ass kid (plus that's all I could offer), but he told me to **** off. Will I have to axe him and try to groom my new protege or can we mend the relationship in time?

The Lab could really use some underground machines working on overdrive because money is of the essence...

Awesome that you took up the game, skip. I also downloaded the game to have a look (Ilaje didn't tell us ANYTHING) and it looks quite problematic indeed.

Summary of Apertura 2012 and Clausura 2013 for followers:

In the summer of 2012 Ilaje sold Jose Sand to Tigres (*gulp*, but final shot at receiving money for him, so that's good) and signed AC Milan flop Tabare Viudez and a veteran defender. He went on to finish 4th in the regular season, but lost in the Semi-Finals to Tigres. Thankfully Jose Sand did not score in this match-up. ;) Toronto FC and Salt Lake City knocked out Los Pollos in the Group Stages of the North American Champions League.

In the winter he signed Cruz Azul talent Martin Galvan and got rid of some scrubs. He also went on to loan out Wallace to Brazilian club Vasco (foreigner limit I suppose?). He's our biggest talent, so that was quite strange. He went on the finish 5th in the Clausura regular season, but again lost in the Semi-Finals to America CF (but Skip already told you this).

Carlos*son Martinez was our top scorer of the season with 24 goals. Tigres' star striker Jose Sand went on the become the entire season's top scorer in Mexico.

Anyway, the team is quite old so it's going to be a huge challenge to replace the veterans with high salaries with younger players of about the same quality. Free transfers is the way to go from now on I'm afraid. I see Ilaje already took three players with expiring contracts from Toluca and another from a lower division (that one looks quite bad).
