Guys i know it may sound funny,


but i actually notice that the game runs faster when i were to set the Priority to 'below normal'

i am using win XP

press ctrl + alt + del to bring up a window
select the cm4.exe right click on it and set the Priority level

Are you sure? I know you can do this with win 98, 2000, XP. But I don't remeber about win me....

as far as i know, we could not do it in win ME, and about win 98, well....i am not too sure

LOL It is strange that that should make it go faster. Mine is very fast now I've upgraded my processor.

I kno sumone who opens the task manager and closes EVERYTHING except cm4 and gets great results but i wouldnt advise anyone to try it.

I do that. Turn off everything except starter and explorer.

You can always try to close explorer

You need to nowerdays with how much crap the internet downloads without telling you

The list of apps, running that i see when i open task manager, is endless, so I always close everything I don't need

Everytime i turn off everything apart from explorer my pc doesnt shut down right, what thing do i leave running so my pc shuts down right?(sorry i dont know to much about computers)

I saw a guide on another site about speeding up yur save/load times.I tried it and it now takes me approx 2mins to save after having to wait patiently for 5+ mins.
