Mac vs. PC (PIC)

As a Mac user, I found this pretty funny because it's partially true - at least before the transition to Intel.

Macs are good. For those with little to no computer education.
And yeah, gaming on macs is non existent. Still, better than linux.

The Mac is the superior computer.....PCs are more affordable though. If you ignore the gaming, Linux is the best-->a lot of Linux distributions are SIGNIFICANTLY faster than either Windows or OS-anything...........even on old hardware!

It depends on what one wants to use their computer for. Surfing the itnernet, chatting online, etc....---> the type of computer doesn't matter. A PC would definitely be better for this.

From what I've read over the years:

If you're into Photo/Film Editing, Music creation and mixing, then a Mac is better. Macs have software integrated with hardware.

You can dual boot....you can install Windows on a Mac, in addition to running OSX or leopard.

It takes half the number of steps to go from one application to another. Safari>IE7 and Quicktime >>>Windows media player.

Security may also be better with Macs.

Were gonna turn this into another mac debate-troll like thread. Your application examples are proly 99% true, but its more like a "who wins the worse application contest" trophy.. Im just gonna say that the percentage macs hold, in the computer market, gives all the answers to the.. aforementioned ummm, things/questions/claims/truths (??? who knows rite?), like "security" and professional use. Lack of interest in "breaking" something for example doesnt make that something better or unbreakable. And dont even get me started on the customer monopoly tactics used by apple which far surpass the M$ ones in both software and hardware departments, areas where both fruit and M$ are right on the bottom of the list. Macs do have one clear advantage tho, they are the better choice for those who are less educated in the art of computer use. Ill just shut up now and give this thread a chance
