Major bug in Fifa 11 PC MM

I'm playing as Charlton - who are in League One. Leeds have just won League One, and the screen said that they are the champions. However, the promotion/relegation screen didn't mention Leeds as promoted - so at the start of the second season of my MM, Leeds are still in League One. And what's more, there are now two copies of Gillingham - each with its own fixture list. What the hell?

I'm beginning to think that Fifa 11 MM is bugged to hell - and patches rarely fix all bugs, so I really hope the rumours about Football Fusion returning with Fifa 11 Manager are true - last time I played a Fifa Manager game, I didn't notice any bugs this bad.

thinking ea would actually get it right.

the only thing ea sports gets right year after year is nhl.

Are you an eternal pessimist, or is it just with Fifa? Lighten up, all your posts are so full of doom and gloom! Cast your mind back to Fifa 09 PC - yes, it was substandard by today's levels, but the two patches actually fixed the vast majority of bugs - apart from a few remaining important ones - and also improved the gameplay. I fully expect Fifa 11 PC to be sorted out. So far, this bug is the one and only one (apart from lag/crashes) that has really annoyed me.

Anyway, was the bug I've outlined in Fifa 10 'NG'? I don't remember seeing it on that list.

Yes, I am still pleased that we finally have a 'NG' game.

regularcat is right. look at the facts. no elite 11, madden on 360 / PS3 still isn't nearly as good as it is on the ps2, fifa 11 has problems and isn't anywhere near as modable on PC as fifa 10 and before were. But there's one thing besides NHL 11 that's good by EA. EA MMA looks awesome and can't wait for it. Elite, Madden, and FIFA are headed downhill with the current design plan. They may make money but FIFA 11 is nowhere near as deep as FIFA 10 PC with mods.

EA has done a good job with NHL 11. It's their best team sports game on 360 / PS3. EA MMA looks awesome and it may be the one thing to make me get a PS3. As of now i'm playing NBA2K11 on PC and loving it. I also have dead rising 2 and FIFA 10 on PC for when i need a change of pace.

Problem is, I have zero interest in ice hockey and not that much more in basketball.

Edit: Fifa 11 PC might not be that deep, but if it does indeed join forces with Fifa Manager 11, it'll be as deep as anyone wants it to be!!

Doctor did you address this bug in the EA UK forums, i hope you do so this can be taken in consideration when Ian Jarvis and his team develop a patch.

Absolutely. I've also PMed Mr Jarvis, since I see this as the worst bug after the lag/crashing issues. Yes, having samey weather is annoying, but it doesn't drastically affect gameplay - you can even get used to the rainy pitches - but having promotion/relegation issues and duplicates of teams appearing - that's not cricket - or football.
