yes it is a delicate matter between macedonians and greeks. i should know i am macedonian. to the idiot that said there is no country with the name macedonia: what does that make me then? yugoslavian or FYROMian? learn to accept that macedonia is a country. and also learn to look at some of the oldest maps around. i have seen a lot of old maps as it interests me a lot. and the word greece or "hellas" never came up. its funny that macedonia existed.
just coz u have a bigger country now doesnt mean u can insult the people of macedonia. might i also add macedonia was split in 1913. the land that u now call "macedonia" would have been part of my macedonia had the romanian govenment not given parts of my small coutry to bulgaria, albania, serbia and the biggest portion to u greeks.
oh and fin by the way the macedonian way of saying macedonia is MAKEDONIJA. that area that i am talking about, or what the greeks would tell u is a state in greece is MAKEDONIA. also why are u asking about the kits? is macedonia in PES and not in WE?? tell me please coz im dying to find a game apart from this is football that has macedonia in it!

F.Y.I.----> FYROM is the country its nationals are called Sjopians (PRONOUNCED- SKO-PIANS), this according to the U.N., until the name dispute is resolved
BTW, The U.S is the only country in the world that has recognized it and more importantly for FYROM, the E.U. has not.

no I have not seen any info on teams from F.Y.R.O.M. but im sure a survey of other sites might bring something up.

Romania had nothing to do with the whole matter, nor was the romanian goverment ever involved in any way.
The maps you saw where ottoman maps. The Ottoman Empire occupied the southern balkans until 1913 when the balkan states started to emerge. F.Y.R.O.M.'s official position is NOT what you say, but that the inhabitants of the country are not Slavs, but rather decendants of the the ancient Macedons who where not Greeks, but where assimilated by the ancient greek culture somewhere before Philip II in the 5th century b.c. and then assimilated by the slavs after the 7th century a.d.
As I described abovem the Macedonia that was split in 1913 was the Ottoman province of Macedonia and was a lot larger than the original Macedonia of the Aechean Kings, including Alexander III (the Great). FYI only the southern 1/3 of the today's FYROM is part of ancient Macedonia, and the other 2/3, including the capital Skopje (original name Skupi) where inhabitated during the ancient years by a tribe caled Dardanians IIRC who where enemies of the ancient Macedonians. The slavinc name Skopje appeared whith the decent of the the Slavs in around 700 a.d.
The greek position is that today's FYROM inhabitants are decentans of the Slavs that occupied the area since 700 a.d.
I will not argue which side is right or wrong, but please, if you are going to take part in such conversations, at least get your facts straight or you will rightfully get reactions like the one above.

guys i made some very harsh comments but seriously macedonia isnt a powerful nation. we only fight with our hearts. we can not defend ourselves as well as the greeks, french, english. we are a small european nation that is trying to do everything in order to progress.
i mean it may sound like i have something against greeks. i do not its just that i want the greeks to give in. i mean macedonians started a campaign after george bush recognised macedonia as the republic of macedonia. the campain was called "dont FYROM me, call me by my name" that is what we want.
u greeks just have to learn that we are in a struggle. we are no where as strong as u economically. id like to be a country in the EU. but economically i feel my country will be unstable.
anyways on to football. does someone wnow if PES has macedonia in the game? i mean what started this thread is someone asking for kits. is that to make a patch or just to update kits in a PES game? i will try and find kits for you right away.
