Ferguson accepted an offer from Zenit (25 millions I think) but didn't materialize because Nani didn't want to go there and asked for ridiculous wages. He just signed a new contract and the manager seems happy with him. I don't think he'll leave. He is playing better now, just a matter of time before he starts scoring again and make assists. You can see a new confidence in him but he is still quite inconsistent. That is something that I think will never change, sadly. If he was consistent, he would be one of the top wingers alongside Ribery, Robben etc.

I think he is one of those players who is never quite gonna have the ability to make it in the Premier League but could be a huge star in any of the worlds inferior leagues (Serie A, La Liga, Ligue 1)

What a talent, there is no doubt he has what it takes to be the best. With all these promising players coming through, it looks like Ferguson's youth scouting team finally came good after 20 years.

Pretty much, since our golden generation we haven't had anyone decent progress from our academy, apart from occasional guys like Fletcher. In the last 3 years we had Rafael, Pogba, Ravel Morrison and Januzaj, and Will Keane looks like a legit talent too. I won't mention Welbeck because i'm not sold yet.

Rafael and Fabio? They both came at age 16, same as Januzaj. Januzaj came from Anderlecht when he was 16 in 2011, same like the twins.

Rossi Pique and more recently (sadly) Pogba also fall in the same category because they came at age 16 roughly.

Talking about Fletcher, he is recovering well. He played 2/3 of an U21 game. He is already 29 now though, probably past his peak, sadly. I am still confident he will play again for the first team.

Talk about overrating the guy. He shows flashes but he by no means seems like he could be world class from that sample size.

He should lay off those outside shots and make the final pass. He seems fixated with the long shot.
