I guess we were lucky not to concede in the first half, they were really pushing for a goal and had a couple of decent chances. In the second half their Brazilians became tired and weren't that dangerous anymore.
And another goal from a set piece. I think Phil Jones is doing a fairly decent job as a defensive midfielder, and it was nice to see him score.
Rio is becoming more and more of an liability this season, he made couple of silly mistakes in the first half, but Shakthar couldn't capitalize from his errors.
I think i've said it before, but i'm not so convinced by Büttner. He likes to bomb forward too often, doesn't produce much, and leaves a gap at the back. So Evans had to clear up his mess a couple of times. Not exactly the greatest of perfomances, but at least we won the group.

Our main problem is scoring goals at the moment. Our defense is doing well. I hope that with van Persie back we'll be scoring more goals. Doesn't help when your best central midfielder is a defender as well and your second best central midfielder is a winger. I read somewhere that when both van Persie and Rooney have started this season, we have won 6 games and drawn 2.
Yea that's obviously because we have no midfield. Nobody is creating any chances, apart from some individual magic from Rooney and RvP. That's why like half of our goals came from set pieces this season.
Come to think of it, last season we struggled badly in games when Scholes and either Rooney or RvP were not playing. And as soon as Scholes would come on we would control the game, so in a way its not that surprising that we are finding it hard to create chances right now.
