If you are a small team declare your interest in a worldclass player:

When I was Cannes I declared my interest in Del Piero. My ambition went from 10 to 13

same with big teams even, i was Liverpool and i declared my intrest in Raul, Aimar, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho (NOT ALL AT THE SAME TIME! LOL) and my ambition went up.

Though if you bid for stupidly good players (e.g managing Rochdale and you declare your intrest in Beckham) then your proffesionalism and loyalty drop i think

aftert winning my 1st 9 or so league games in a row, averaging 3 goals per game, i started playing bad :( my amibition was to score over 100 goals and maybe a GD of 100, alas, i dont even think i can get 100 points now. my best was 104/114 points with Milan.

my ab to handle pressure is @ 13 now, i think coz i won after a bad spell of draws/losses

i think i figured out how to hey ur ability to handle pressure up.

its basically to have the balls to abuse players, even if the whole team backs them up - to stick to your guns.

Here's a nice article about your manager ratings, I hoe this clears some things up:

So how do you improve your manager profile attributes? After talking to a number of users about this over e-mail, I came up with these conclusions.

How often should one praise his players? Overall probably once every 3 weeks/games. Any more often, and the media won't take you seriously any more. So how should one determine which players to praise, the one with the highest rating, or the most goals, or maybe the muppet goalie who just stopped 2 penalties? It's best to praise the player who has improved the most. So if for example Ledley King goes from all 6'es to all 8's, praise him. Obviously though if someone is outstanding, for example Kanouté scores 5 goals in a single match, they have to be praised.

So should one fine or warn any of ones players? Well, preferably not, it just upsets the player and the team. If a player puts in an awful performance, don't fine them, just put him in the reserve team for a few weeks.

So what to do when some other team is interested in your star player? Just issue hands off warnings, it improves your ability to handle pressure.

When you respond to players claiming a spot in first team, it's best to tell them to wait for their chance, unless they consistently moan, in which case it tends to work to just ignore them or try to get them out on loan.

So should one ever criticize players? Definitely, if a player scores a rating of 3 or lower, critisize their performance. Never ever critisize the same player twice in quick succession however.

If you're interested in a player, it's not always a good idea to declare interest in signing them. This is mostly a good thing to do if you're about to sign a player with a high reputation, so a world star. It doesn't matter if you actually sign the player or not, if the press thinks it's a realistic transfer that'll make your team stronger, it ups your attributes.

hehe, i guess we all knew that. i praise 2 players a month or summin. seems to work. and i criticise my players if their recent form has only 6s and 7s. coz they're all worldclass players and it pisses me off! and i hate it when the fans lambast them but they keep quiet, i much prefer the players who respond to the criticism and admit their dip in form
