He actually left earlier cause he had to go to Brazil to take care of a family problem. He said he will come back to the club. An least that's the AFP version ...

Of course there are some other versions ...like the one that says that Robinho's ego is to big to accept Kaka in the team, so that's why he left.

I would go for the second one ...
I mean Robinho left Real after van der Vaart came. I wouldn't be surprised if he would do the same now (if Kaka will come of course)

Well that's what he says to the media, but that's not really what he wants. Come on, I mean the guy played for Real Madrid. They all go there for money and fame. If Kaka comes to City, Robinho will have the money but not the fame anymore and he will start complaning like he always did.

yea obviously he would want to leave if his team plays like crap, and if the staff are not doing an effort to bring in some help for Robinho, why would he want to stay? He is playing really great football and his team is playing like ****... yea I know its man. city and that he made the choice of going there but he has to get back up in order to start winning, otherwise hes playing great for nothing...

oh right just so conveniently the day after the kaka transfer fails. Robinho just so "conveniently" has a family issue and has to go back to brazil thats bs.

He said he had this trip to Brazil planned long before the Kaka saga, but Robinho's always been known to be a little bitch but who really knows. In the interview he said he left for family reasons and he'll sort everything out with City when he gets back. What I'm wondering is, sort what out? If it was a family issue, leave it at that :(

Jani: I've made it clear from the beginning that I'd prefer him to stay at Milan. Not just because I'm also a Milan fan and I love Kaka and cant see him leaving there, but also because the deal made absolutely no sense for City.

I'm glad City didn't get Kaka. I don't like to see players of that quality playing at a team that can't offer them the CL. If you were in the top 4 then ok, but you aren't and loads of money isn't going to guarantee trophies. You should build like Villa have. Oh and it isn't all Mark Hughes' fault about where you are, it's because half the players are there for money and don't care, which isn't the right sort of players to bring in. Robinho springs to mind, running off when he doesn't get his own way. I think De Jong is a good signing and bringing players like him and building slowly is the best way to start.

Technically true, but they're in it most years. They're 3rd in Serie A i think and if they keep that up then they'll be there. Where will City be? nowhere near thats where.

^ City and Spurs have a mighty chance to be in the Championship next year...even though I believe City will improve with De Jong being brought in and Bojinov should be back in february.

Hehe, 17M for DeJong when we could have had him for 2.3M in four months. WHAT RECESSION BABY?! We gettin Arab money! (H)

But ya, like I said earlier, trooper, if Hughes cant get this team into top 7ish position in the 2nd half of the season, he's seriously incompetent. When everyone's healthy he's got a team worthy of at least a UEFA Cup spot at his disposal.

City`s problem is mark hughes he can`t manage for **** don`t know why he hasnt been fired yet. Probably him being a united legend is what is keeping his job cause i dont see any other reason. We gave him 100 chances and he screwed them all up. Sven only got 1 chance and he did way better than moron mark hughes ever did which is pretty stupid.

Anyway we are supposedly trying to get Drogba and supposedly going to offer him double his current chelsea salary.

Having him and Bellamy up front? That'd be interesting to say the least. Wonder who would win in a fist fight.
