Manchester City Thread [09/10]

And to think Scolari was going to replace Joe Cole with the little prick.

I still think City has a good chance of finishing the season in a high note. The race for 4th place is unbelievably tight this year. With Aston Villa, Spurs, and Pool all being inconsistent for long stretches. So if City can do something about their woeful defence(Toure coming back). They could conjure up a decent run, provided Tevez and Ireland stays fit.

Oh, and there's still the FA Cup. :D

epidemy Dinho, Adriano and now Robinho.

I think Dunga and Brazil federation should do something about this.

Looks like Robinho's cleared all his stuff out of Manchester, man I think we dodged a real headcase there. It seems South American players in general seem to cause problems over here. Either they don't adapt on the pitch, or they don't adapt off it.

Well regardless of what Citeh do, you can be happy. United lost, which I know makes you happy (probably more than Citeh winning)

Seems like Anderson's on the way to following Robinho's lead as well.
What is their problem anyways.

Well, I don't believe Mikey or me are generalizing South Americans, but these sort of things in particular seems to be a growing trend with the Brazilian players especially. Robinho should be fighting for place proving his doubters wrong, he said it himself he wanted to create history with City.

But that seems like a load of bollocks, once he's out of favour, he becomes depressed, gave up and packed up his bags back to Brazil.(where he knows he's going to get picked in the team no matter what).

But then again, we have Alex and Belletti in our squad, completely different mentality, probably due to them coming from different backgrounds I suppose.

Well we've got the twins, and they've settled in alright - I wasn't generalising, I was simply saying that we've seen this quite a bit in the Premier League.

I suppose I was responding more to Mikey's post when I said that:

yeah, fair enough, though most of the Brazilians who have play in the Prem aren't your "usual Brazilians" -- I mean the really attacking, skillful ones (not just mids and forwards, but wingbacks too), who are known to be mercurial talents, and who can play that Samba football / Ginga that one associates with Brasil ...

Juninho was a decent player, making the national team (not a starter, by any means), but he was an absolute legend at Boro ... so it is unfortunate that Robinho is the first Brazilian with genuine world class attacking flair to play in the Prem ... he threw his toys out of his pram at Real Madrid, which is why they had no hesitation in shipping him out ... that's why it is no surprise that he did the same once he faced a little pressure to work hard at City ...

I understand what you're saying because in the Premiership they won't be able to express themselves as much due to the physical nature in England.

Regardless, they really should be more professional about their status within the football club. I mean, Robinho did well last season for City, but once he lost his place he didn't show any intention whatsoever to win it back. Moaning and crying out in the media instead until he got his wish.

Man that was strange, I wanted Chelsea to lose - and of course that ment City had to win. Thanks by the way (Y)

I think City are better as a team without Robinho.

Manchester City's Michael Johnson is under investigation after allegedly headbutting a fan of rivals United in a nightclub, police have confirmed.

Please God, grant us the strength to beat Spurs. Please. If I have to put up with seeing Harry Redknapp`s saggy ass face in the CL next year, I`ll die a little bit inside.
