Mata is class but he has been inconsistent for us. He will probably have to leave or sit on the bench. I don't want Herrera as AMF. He is not creative enough. Rooney would be perfect there for Mourinho.

Wilshere as DMF in a diamond 4-4-2 for England is not a good idea.

Rooney is finished as a striker. You could see it this season. He was fantastic as AMF/CMF. He played AMF/CMF the last 8 games, had a couple of MoM performances.

Zlatan likes to drop deep and play as #10, not sure its a good combination with Rooney. I have no idea what Mou has in mind with Rooney.

Mourinho doesnt believe in rotations so he can have an issue there with Zlatan/Rooney if he doesnt convert Rooney into a CMF which i doubt

Rashford makes me wonder how many talented players are sitting in youth teams or on loan in League 1 that are good enough to make a difference with their National Teams right now. Every year we see players make their debut for their club and be difference makers for a major national team after that first season. Rashford is a good example this year, Harry Kane did it, Thomas Muller. And once given these opportunities, they just get better and better.

I don't know, it just makes me think there are a lot of players who could be international stars if they were just given the chance.

Rashford was not even well known in the reserves. Players who were constantly thought to be talented were Januzaj, Lingard and Pereira. His confidence must have become very high with the opportunities he has been given which is why he has kept performing.

Yeah, I don't know if there's enough data in on Rashford to say that he's going to be the next Thomas Muller, but regardless he played a very good game for England yesterday and made an impact for his national team. I agree with you that Vardy (and Kane) say the same thing about lower league players.

Not sure that's a pattern. They're all different players brought in for different reasons, the key issue is getting an extra man in midfield but ManU already have several players for that role.
