No I think Valencia is a great signing, but we definitely need at least one more, Benzema would have been perfect. I'm gutted actually.

We need an out and out striker, at least one that can add to the squad - if not a main starter. Rooney and Berba will likely be the main strikeforce, Valencia will fill the RW slot and I would guess Nani on the left.

Now Benzema is off the radar, I suspect the new men will be young, promising players which United can bring up to top class (as they did with Ronaldo) Possibly even domestic players too.

To be honest, I'd throw some money at Aston Villa and attempt to get Ashley Young and Gabriel Agbonlahor - two young talented English players.

Recently I've been wondering if the creative midfielder we've been lacking has been staring us in the face all this time.... Mikael Arteta of Everton.

I have to admit, I'm a little concerned about United's global profile as it comes to the world's elite players - doesn't seem that the top names want to come here - and Slave made it plain in the end he'd never seen United as the "dream" he claimed in 2003.

I know names don't matter - but it's a little discocerting to see players turn us down or want to leave. We're supposed to be the biggest club in the World for F*ck sake. Is it money, the weather - or are we really not seen as a preferred destination anymore?

Still at least the new boy seems to want to be here. I'm looking forward to seeing what Valencia can do for us.

Fergie is doing the right thing by keeping his money in his pocket. Benzema is overrated indeed and has nothing to warrant a 35M price tag ,he has not even top scored in France!!

What I do hope is that Fergie also turns a blind eye to Ribery as I believe his is the most ridiculous of all. He has done absolutely nothing nothing and Bayern want more than 70M for him,the entire boardroom should be jailed. These prices are getting out of hand and the funny thing is that Real Madrid more or less payed the correct fees for Cristiano and Kaka, even if the latter was slighty overpriced .

Fergie never takes other clubs rejects,never! I'd be surprised if he starts now. Madrid's dutch contingent will most likely end up being shared between the two milanese teams or at valencia as pawns for silva & villa.

i believe letting benzema slip out is a big mistake...because there arent many options left
