I can't tell you how f*cking furious I am right now. We threw that away in a little over two minutes. Do we have ambitions to challenge for the title?

NO :swear2:

Considering what chelsea can do even without fat frank...malouda..etc...theres no chasing...

I feel keeping Rooney out was like too childish...
he is a professional..
if he cant face the stick from the everton fans...he shouldnt be playing football..
heck, this is football..the fans wont ltierally come and piss on him...he could have easily shut all hypocrits up by playing today...
and its sort of some mantra...when rooney plays ..we lose less...
berba may score 1..but he misses 10

owen is a fckin waste of space in teh squad

Help?

very true. When the whole country hated Beckham or Ronaldo, they didn't sit at home taking a chill pill.

i can bet my arse off Rooney wouldnt have been happy at all. He would have wanted to go out and play...
Fergie, does, indeed make mistakes quite often since 2 seasons.

This decision was shambolic..
many may have an arguement that what if you guys won 3-1? would you have argued?
I would say yes!
A consistent team needs to be played week in week out...not so many tinkering changes wtf

Totally disagree, you play 50+ games every season, you need rotation. Rooney didn't really matter in this game; your entire team or at least the defense fell asleep in the 90th minute and that's why you lost 2 points.

Well you have a point...
let me make myself more precise...
i agree this game needs to be blamed on the defence for being lost..
but ingeneral...for al lthe upcoming games, it wld be better if fergie stopped tinkering...and play the usual rooney berba combo

Maybe Rooney needed this weekend off to sort out his personal stuffs with Coleen. His exclusion doesn't mean he didn't have the guts to face Everton or Fergie decided to leave him out.

Anyway would Rooney have made a difference? I don't really think so. We did well in attack scoring 3 goals. The problem was with defense. Especially the first one. What a huge blunder by Evra. Our attack is doing very well but our defense haven't looked good at all this season. Maybe its because Ferdinand is out. Defense is way more organised with him.

EDIT: Just read why Rooney has been left out. Well that was a ridiculous reason to leave him out... He should've at least been on the bench. Rooney's strong and has character. I'm sure he'd able to face the Everton fans.

Reserve Team
This is exactly what we didn't need to be doing this year, dropping points to fringe teams.

I know it's early but Chelsea show no signs of slowing down, we can't afford many more days like today if we're gonna compete for the title.

At least Berbs is getting goals though, hopefully his confidence is up now and he will continue to play well.

Senior Squad
Seriously, what the hell was that. Sickening really. Fulham all over again. It was a terrific performance in the 2nd half and we threw it all away in the last 2 minutes. I am gutted as hell. Positives- Berba and Nani were outstanding.

We need to kill off teams early and stop being complacent. That was harder to swallow than the fulham defeat.

I disagree with those who said leaving rooney out was a mistake. Our attack was pretty good..our defence needs to be sorted out. Not many teams score 3 at goodison park.

Thats very harsh on Berba. He's scored 4 out of 5 games this season plus 2 or 3 assists. What did you expect from him? 10 goals out of 5 games? He was outstanding. Nani was excellent as well, had 2 assists totaling his assists to 4 in 4 games. He's on top of assists in the EPL so far. Better than Gerrard, Lampard, Scholes or Fabregas :D

4 games in. Nani's had the consistency of egg yolk in the past, and I'll be anything that he'll fizzle out sooner or later.

Oh yeah, Drogs has got 4 assists, too.

Nani is really good dude, I think he'll keep it up. He showed me something against Bayern last year that I just don't see very often from any player.

He's excellent. I didn't say anything to the contrary, he's just inconsistent. Based on past performances, I don't think he will keep playing at the top of his game for the whole season, I doubt he would be able to keep that up for more than a month or two.

Starting XI
I don't understand why do we decide to switch off in the last 20-25 minutes when we're ahead by a goal or two. That's the difference between us and Chelsea so far this season. When they're 2-0 or 3-0 up, they keep on pushing forward for more goals and end up with a 6-0 result instead of a 2-2 or a 3-3.

Yeah he is usually very inconsistent but he's getting more and more consistent. Before, he typically used to have one great game followed by 2 poor games and the cycle starts again. Now he's able to play 3-4 great games in a row which is good to see.
