Apart from the pathetic penalty attempt, I thought Rooney was pretty good today. He never looked like scoring, though, his worth was more in his passes.

Nani on the other hand I thought was garbage. He screwed up several counter attacks by trying to Ronaldinho his way through a defender and losing the ball.

Fletcher and Carrick were basically pointless today too...Anderson and Park did well.

It was a great and important win though...now hopefully we can avoid losing at the Bridge.

No, he's totally right, I have a long list of players I want out of Chelsea: Drogs, Terry, Anelka, Lamps, all of whom have missed a penalty kicki here and there.

**** that ****.

You want your two highest scorers out of the team?

I missed the game. Pleased we won it but after watching the highlights, I see we could've won by more. Did Arsenal even good get a shot on goal?

From the highlights, I don't think Rooney played badly. It doesn't matter whether he scores or not: His passes and especially his creativity and speed are all essential. That penalty miss doesn't really bother me. Anyone can miss penalties. It happens.

Special note on Park... he has again proved that he's a big team player (Y)

Top of the league with 1 match in hand! Now we can at least afford to lose points against Chelsea next week and still be above them with 1 game in hand. (Y) Next week will be tough. They'll be at full strength with Lampard coming back. I'd be happy with a draw but confident we can win with the team we have.

filli I didn't say he played badly that game but why the hell ain't he scoring, he literally hasn't scored since last season excluding penalties.

And that's following a season where it was hard for him not to score.

I cant count the amount of times I've had to say he just needs a goal to get him going. Surely he should be more consistent.

And the winner by... guess who?!?! Still contend he's not much of a player, Xifio?
IMO my concerns about his ability are still valid as far as the Draft goes, but Park has confirmed himself as a clutch player for Man U and can't be denied his due ...

Park Misses 7 Games

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed today that Ji-Sung Park, who has scored 4 in his last 6 league games, will play his last game for a few weeks on Boxin Day. The battling midfielder will be representing Korea in the Asian Cup in Qatar in January.

“Ji is in fantastic form,” said Ferguson. “Unfortunately we are going to lose him for seven matches after December 26. It is disappointing.”

With Antonio Valencia missing until February, this is a massive blow, leaving United with just Nani, Ryan Giggs, Gabriel Obertan and Bebe on the wings.

WTF :willis:

I hope Giggs stays fit enough to play...

I've noticed some of our central midfielders have been caught out of position when tracking back a few times this season, allowing players to run beyond. Carrick and Fletcher, in particular.
I really enjoyed the match yesterday. Not a lot of chances but a great game to watch.

Africa and Asia should not be allowed to play these competitions in January; there is plenty of time in the summer. Either way, you guys really have a massive debt to your scouting network; Bebe and Chicharito have FAR surpassed expectations, and luckily you can fall back on them. Could you imagine if they were as raw as most expected?

I'm pleased with our youngsters this season. They REALLY stepped up. Nani, Anderson, Rafael are FINALLY living up to the hype. Other new youngsters Obertan, Bebe, Chicharito, Fabio and Smalling might not be there yet but they have exceeded expectations especially Chicharito who's proven to be an excellent supersub. Not to forget on-loanees Welbeck, Diouf and Cleverley who are playing first team football in the EPL!

The future looks bright so far. I feel thats the start of yet another era under Ferguson. Maybe another Champions league winning team. Who knows? :)
