Rio Ferdinand is not worth £120,000 let alone £100,000 and I'd rather see him leave than pick up that amount of money, only Keane in his prime was worth that. Alessandro Nesta gets £50,000 a week so what makes Rio/Zahavi think that the cockney twat is deserving of £120k?. I'll take £35m+ for him, he's not even a patch on Stam for footballing ability and is replacable in my opinion. Money can be used for a top class replacement for the fat-lipped twat and they'll be money for Essien, just what we need really.

however: the broadsheet lads i spoke to who were there yesterday confirmed that Sir Alex seemed very upset and hurt re rio's behaviour and that he was having to make a great effort not to cut loose on the issue. as it is, the quotes he gave that are reported in today's qualities surely leave no doubt as to his feelings on the matter? it is also not being denied by the club that sir alex was totally misled by the principals on what happened the other week - not one of them volunteered that there had been a second meet and therefore alex was rightly left fulminating about the fact that "a brief hello", to quote rio, had in fact been an extended three hour session. the issue surely should be refocussed on this: the rio-lovers need to answer the accusation that he has let THE BOSS down, never mind the rest of us. given the incredible support SAF has given rio over two years, dont you think you need to address the blame-apportioning for the obvious distress SAF is in over this current affair? or is that just the tabloid meejah's fault too?

if this is the case i say we send him off and get fonds to by a defender and a defensive midfielder!
selling Kleberson, saha and Miller shoud also fond some new player's!

MAn Utd conceded only 20 b/c of Rio.. yet how many did they score with the money spent on Saha,Smith and Ronaldo (yes he's a winger,but he's supposed to improve the attack)...so who's a waste of money?
