From The Sun:

FLASHPOINT ... players battle as game boils over

By MARK IRWIN

JOSE MOURINHO accused Alex Ferguson of bullying referee Neale Barry in the tunnel at half-time.

The Blues boss was angry with Barry’s second-half performance in this Carling Cup semi-final first leg.

He fumed: “There was one referee in the first-half and a different one after the break and I suggest he didn’t walk alone to the dressing room at half-time.

“He should go to his dressing room with two linesmen and fourth official but somebody else was with him and if the FA ask me about that I’ll tell them.

“Maybe one day when I am 60, when I’ve been in the same league for 20 years and I know everyone and they respect me, I will also have the power to speak and people will tremble a bit.

“The second half was fault after fault and diving and more diving.

“There were dozens and dozens of free-kicks, the ball went into the Manchester United end a number of times and he awarded only two minutes of stoppage time.

“I’m not questioning the integrity of the referee. I’m sure he is a nice man.

“It was a question of a big personality influencing another person without as much prestige in English football.

“I told the fourth official what I felt at the end.

“It was very important for me to understand a few things of what I saw, what I heard and what I felt at half-time.”

Fergie did not deny his chat with Barry but insisted: “Well I certainly didn’t influence him in the first-half!”

The United boss said his team should have had a penalty when Louis Saha went down from a Tiago challenge.

He rapped: “I’ve seen it on TV and it certainly looks a foul.

“But we were at Chelsea and it was always going to be difficult to get a penalty.”

Mourinho retorted: “Manchester United should be forbidden from speaking about referees for at least a year after what happened against Tottenham last week.

“That was the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen for a long time.”

djemba really is a good player, he's strong and can boss the midfield if he's given the chance, he played well last night and i really dnt know why he gets so much stick. Kleberson on the other hand is a waste of space, u neva see him in the game at all, he really is crap andi think fletcher really isnt all that either he gives away the ball too much, hes a worker but he needs to keep possession and he'll be fine. keep djemba but kick out kleberson;)

Chelsea boss could face FA charge

Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd
Man Utd match reaction
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho may face a Football Association disrepute charge after comments made following their Carling Cup tie with Manchester United.
Mourinho intimated that United boss Sir Alex Ferguson influenced referee Neale Barry after the duo walked down the tunnel together at half-time.

"I see one referee in the first half and another in the second," he said.

"If the FA ask me what happened, I will tell them. What I saw and felt made it easier to understand a few things."

He added: "Maybe when I turn 60 and have been managing in the same league for 20 years and have the respect of everybody I will have the power to speak to people andmake them tremble a little bit.

"The referee controlled the game in one way during the first half but in the second they had dozens of free-kicks. It was fault after fault, dive after dive.

"But I know the referee did not walk to the dressing rooms alone at half-time. He should only have had his two assistants and the fourth official with him, but there was also someone else."

If someone from the FA asks me what happened I will tell them

Jose Mourinho

Ferguson believed his side could have had a penalty when Louis Saha was brought down.

But Mourinho was quick to point out Tottenham's disallowed goal against United when the ball clearly crossed the line after keeper Roy Carroll fumbled a long range Pedro Mendes effort.

"Manchester United should not be allowed to speak about referees for another year after that," he said.

"What happened against Tottenham was one of the most ridiculous decisions I have ever seen."

Mourinho said the match was entertaining for a goalless draw and insisted his team could still reach the final.

"It's 0-0, so if we win we go through and if we get a draw we go to extra time," he said.

"We have exactly the same chance we had before this game.

"We are confident of getting a result but we know what Manchester United is, a footballing power. It'll be difficult for us, but also for them."

Mourinho shoud zip his ugly mouth!

Sell Djemba. What a useless twat he is. WHy did SAF ever decide to buy that guy anyway? He hasn't done anything in all the matches I've seen him play. He can't pass a ball, he can't shoot...all he can do is shield the ball for a maximum of 5 seconds, twat!

Miller hasn't done much either. Kleberson needs to play more because the guy has potential, he's just not getting a chance.
I've never rated Fortune highly either but after that wonderfully timed tackle on Drogba last night, he can stay forever!

Same for Heinze, he's a legend already. Doesn't half get stuck in does he.

I've read that Iker Casillas wants to leave Real Madrid for a "fresh challenge". Man United and Inter are both interested.

He'd be a great buy, probably one of the best keepers in the world and he's still only 24.

HA.

Casillas is the best keeper in the world. I have no doubts about it.

Anyone who disagrees hasn't seen him play this year.

If transfered, he would set a world record for keepers.

But in realitay, Iker is going nowhere.

He is the future captain of Real Madrid and he will stay.

No. Doubts. About it.

What you are saying totally true.He is good and if he moved to Real Madrid now with there current strong bossing DM shortage he would become a star. But now matter what you are talking about Kleberson is better.Once he gets the English language covered which is very hard to learn he will be able to combine alot better with this team.
