i sure hope manchester doesn't play like this against benfica :nape:

Well I hope they do, they must win that match, it is weird to see a CL second round without Man U, I am sure they will win against Benfica and I hope with good football, they must keep this up

can somebody please post the goals ?

how did smithy do ?

and how was our former 50/50 (once great/once bad) keeper Carroll ?

Reserve Team
Carroll was excellent in the first half
He saved like 3 shots from Rooney
We thought we were going to lose the match
But after Rooney's goal
the old Roy Carroll is back :lui:
He misjudged the corner and let Big John score the header :rockman:
He was shaky after all
Lucky for him the cross bar saved him

dude if you want us to play like Barcelona why the fu'ck don't you go support Barcelona!?
This comment has me wondering if males have periods...

Was that neccessary Daz? Barcelona are probably the best attacking team in the world right now, in other words he was trying to say we played great attacking football, in other words you didn't have to act like a complete anus.

Jeez no wonder I hardly post here.

No, Daz is right. If he "dreams" of us playing like Barcelona, why doesn't he just go ahead and support Barcelona? Why would we want to emulate how another team plays? Barcelona's playing good football right now, good for them. We've played just as well in the past, and IMO even better. We've always been about attacking football. Manchester United IS attacking football... well that is until Queiroz started messin' with Fergie's head and started implementing all these stupid formations and trying to convert strikers into midfielders and wingers into defenders and so on. The last couple months, it's been painful to see what's been happening at United. I remember a couple games where I just sat there angry and confused. The problems are there, you can't deny it. Fergie knows what he has to do but he doesn't do it. No Fergie, Smith is not going to replace Keane no matter how you see it. I'm just sick of all the excuses and it makes me so angry when I see Smith playing in Keane's role. It even makes me more angry that there's actually people out there who believe Smith can replace Keane. IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. I like Smith but I like him as a striker. It's not Smith's fault though for being played out of position. And Fergie definitely has to play Park more. Park is class, Fergie just has to know how to utilize him. Park has the experience. He's been in the World Cup for South Korea and he's played in the Champions League for PSV. He might still need to adjust a little bit to the English game but that will only happen if Park plays more games... he can't always be coming off the bench. Though he did start today, that was good to see. Fletcher is disappointing though, I don't know what Fergie sees in him. As well as a couple other players in our squad. I'm just not satisfied with the team we have. What I really hope for is a suitable replacement for Keane, SOON. And I don't even know if that's going to happen.

A bit pessimistic after win, yes, but I felt I needed to do some ranting. It's been a while.

To be fair, he is a good passer. However, as Fergie has said, he is gangly and needs to bulk up. What Fergie doesn't realize is that as he is, he's not effective. If he does get bigger, I feel he can be a solid contributor to the team, but until then, we need to use other players.

Reliable sources say Nigel de Jong has signed signed an agreement with Manchester United, meaning he will join when his contract expires this summer.

Other, less reliable soruces, say Guus Hiddink will succeed Ferguson.

No, just the right back. He's never played the left back spot in his career, as far as I know.

He comes to his right in midfield tho, he hates being used as a right back.
