Yes, Silvestre plays really well, putting in great crosses and setting up the Rooney's goal.
Signing Evra is a really positive thing to the club which boosts Silvestre and offers more options to us.

Cant imagine Henry was on the bench and dont know what Wenger was thinking.

and that "save" from the second keeper was just... :nape: we were not given an obvious penalty, again.

Chelsea keep winning but we have done very well recently. 9 wins in a row!

just watch the highlights, silves crossing = good control by rooney as well. he totally owned senderos :rockman:

i was surprise by wenger benched henry, still can't think of any reason why he do so

now i don't care whether we are still in title race or not, as long as we win and confirm the 2nd spot, i'll be happy. if we are able to win the title this year, that will be a bonus. consider we are playing without a proper defensive midfielder this season, we are doing extremely well.

good to hear heinze is coming back next week. highly unlikely he will play a full game, may be the last 10-15 minutes will do. hope he is able to find his form as soon as possible and ready for wc (Y)

I think Evra will leave OT instead of Silves in the summer.

No way man. ;) Evra is a good player, he's just gotta get a decent run in the team. He's just gotta adjust to the english way of things. He is potentially a good replacement for Giggs, because next season Gabby will be back, and Silvestre will fighting to keep his first team place.

Evra is certainly not a defensive player, you can see that in his positioning. Let's not forget, he's not started many games, and he been used as a sub mostly, he doesn't really get that much time. I think he just needs more confidence. (Y)

haha no way is he worth that price

Lyon have warned Manchester United that they will have to exceed the £24.5 million Chelsea paid for Michael Essien if they want to land Mahamadou Diarra.

The Mali midfielder is believed to be Sir Alex Ferguson's top target this summer, with the United manager making a personal check on the player in the UEFA Champions League tie in Milan last week.

Diarra scored an away goal against last season's finalists but two late goals torpedoed the French champions' hopes of progressing in the competition.

Although reports in Spain claim United have already agreed a deal with Lyon, with Real Madrid being urged to match that offer before a deadline of this Sunday, the Ligue 1 leaders claim they want to hang onto their powerful performer.

Marca have reported that a deal would already be done to take Diarra to Old Trafford, but for the African's preference to head for Madrid, even though he has previously expressed a desire to play in The Premiership.

"There will be no revolution," Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas told But.

"We want to keep that squad and improve it, where it is possible.

"Diarra will be with us next season, even if a good deal is still possible.

"But people have to know he will be more expensive than Essien."

I'd like to wait and see if this Henry story is true or not....the whole thing just seems a little out in left field at this point.

haha i'd LOVE Henry at United! Though i seriously doubt it would ever happen.

Joe Cole would be great (Y)

btw - just because it's on manutd.com still doesn't mean anything, they do a summary of newspaper rumours on there - not confirmed by the club at all.

Lets forget it then

These Cole and Henry rumours looks like bull****. Why would Chelsea want to sell him and why would they sell him to ManU if ever they sell him? Same applies to Henry

yeah, man. I know just what you mean. Its like all these papers suggesting Shevchenko is coming to Chelsea. I believe every word of it, but I would HATE to see him taking minutes from Drogba and Gudjohnsen.

by the way, lee stewart is back (H)
