it seems like everyone forget we won 2nd spot and league cup winner without a defensive midfielder. heinze, scholes are out most of the season. smith out as well in the 2nd half of the season. you have to give some credits to the team and manager for this achievement.

what we need is a proper signing. add 1 or 2 suitable player and we are good. we don't have the budget like chelsea do, but football is all about team. i believe if we play like last season with improvement in midfield and finishing. we are able to challenge every one.

True, I agree with you 100%

For tenacious read THUG. A fine line but he oversteps it by a mile. WTF makes this prick think Argentina will even progress far enough to meet England. The Argie team is **** apart from a couple of useful players, and Heinze aint one of those players. I hope he collides with a goalpost and breaks his fu<kin' neck the Argentinaian homosexual. :ewan:

Oh OK my apologies then. Obviously The Scum just trying to wind things up then. Someone needs to burn that paper to the ground.

Ruud scored again for us today against the Aussies, two goals in three friendlies but it shows how eager he is, right now he is in the shape of his life.
Better think again SAF cause in no way Saha is as effective as RvN :nape:

And why is that......the truth hurts?? :boohoo:
SAF is a f*cking idiot, chasing players away all the time, the board should wake up and replace him. One of the best strikers in the history of the club and it looks like he will never wear the MU shirt again even though he says that he wants to stay.. it becomes clear when you read between the lines and look at his face when you bring the MU issue up.
What players did MU get right now??? And Chelsea??? It's time for SAF to leave finally, the board should've hired Guus Hiddink when they had the chance...

The view that i am taking on things is that we still really don't know whats going on. This is the English press we're talking about, they'll make the most ridiculous story out of nothing. It's obvious that SOMETHING has happened, but until i hear anything substantial from Man Utd or Ruud himself then i'm keeping an open mind.

There are many more people who feel as you do. Personally I'd love to see United get Martin O'Neil while he's free. His enthusiasm and the ability to get players to give him 100% is exactly what United needs. I think it'd be a popular decision. Ferguson may be the single greatest ever United manager, but he's showing signs of maybe hanging on too long. Clashes with club staff seem to be increasing as a result of his "I'm always right" policy, even when the evidence suggests the contrary.

Ok he got Cristiano, Wayne, Gabby, Smudger and Edwin in (and Nemanja looks a good player too) but he also gambled on Eric Djemba-Djemba, David Bellion, and must be the only person in the world who rates Darren Fletcher. He alienated Keano midseason, fired our excellent club doctor of 10 years and now seems hell bent on firing Ruud van Nistelrooy too.

Not to mention his biggest and most unforgivable error - he gambled the club's future on a f**king racehorse. Upsetting Magner and McManus (who I reckon sold their shares to screw him) and setting the wheels in motion for the Glazers to increase their holding to levels where they could mount their takeover. I would suggest that he has one more year to turn it around (or I hope so) because Manchester United appear to be going backwards at an alarming rate.

I'm just tired of everyone bitching about the club, Ruud and so on and so forth. There's a World Cup to enjoy, why not take a break and talk after that. Business wil resume on July 10th.

Because I am so worried about the way United is going that it's eating a hole in my F'n stomach :nape: I will enjoy the World Cup, I'm really psyched for it but I can't forget United, when I think of football I always think of United first and foremost. That's just the way I am.

But here I'll combine the two, which United player do you think will play the best during the WC? I'm gonna say Ronaldo, he plays brilliantly for Portugal.

You can't base a whole argument on what you "reckon". The reason Magner and McManus sold their shares was because the offer they recieved was a good one. Not because of SAF. Businessmen will not sell their assets purely to "screw" someone, heck they probably even had enough power to get him kicked out if they really wanted to do so.

Yeah maybe you're right, but I can't help feel that the "Rock of Gibraltar" affair did some damage to the club, leading in some small way to the pair selling their shares - but as you said business is business and they probably would have been enticed by the money anyway. I'm just so p**sed with the way things are happening at the moment and Ferguson is the focus of my anger as he's supposed to be the leader of on pitch affairs (which is in a sorry state recently)

Ruud has been crap since christmas for us, skulking around the pitch uninterested. He doesn't fit in nor does he want to fit in with how we are playing. He needs a reality check. You highlighted it yourself. One of the best strikers in the history of the club. Yes he is, but he's no longer the same player that deserves to be in the team week in week out. I certainly dont think "Ruuds on the team sheet, he's bound to grab us a goal" which is what most United fans went into a match thinking in his first few seasons at the club.

True, but there are better ways of handling moving players on. Ferguson seems to enjoy making big deals of players' exits. What I hope is that we get what Ruud is worth. If Everton can sign a Championship player for £8.5M and Shevchenko cost Chelski £30M then I think we should at least be looking at £15M - £18M for Ruud.

Andy Johnson is english so his value will be double what he's actually worth. Sheva was bought by CHELSEA.

We'll get £10mill if we're lucky.

Maybe we can use him as a part exchange with someone. For example if Milan want him (and by all indications they do) then perhaps we could ask for Gattuso or Kaka in part ex (plus paying cash too) If Lyon can screw clubs with transfers then perhaps it's time we started rather than letting players go on the cheap.
