Change of pace though. :D Ok, what do you guys think of the 16 y/o Norwegian kid joining us from Molde? Does anyone know about him as I've never heard of him. Ole rates him highly so that counts for something.

And hopefully this one may actually play for United

:| Hang on, think your missing something here. How is it solely out clubs fault? Everyone knows that the england officials and Sven have also been monitoring the injury. They therefore knew about the injury, and also wanted to keep it undercover, possibly to take some of the pressure off of rooney? A chelsea fan is the last person that can preach about nice people running clubs and things being a disgrace. :)

If you even attempt to defend this, you are as scummy as your club. I dont expect your non-English fans to give a crap, but the English among you should be as angry as the rest of us. If not then its true what they say. Man U fans are SCUM.

I've known for a while it was a cover up. But really, whats the big fuss?

Manchester United are being careful. We are through the group stages already, and thats without Rooney. Its plain stupid to risk him early.

When it comes down to it, you see it completly different to me. For you, Rooney is purely for England success. You couldn't give a toss if he gets injured and is out for a large part of the season for Manchester United. However, if it was Lampard or Terry, coming back from a potentially career threatening injury (a metatarsel break whatever shape or form is still very serious lets not forget) then you'd be as cautious as i am. You were flinching for Rooney when he went into every tackle against T&T in fear of him being out of the rest of the world cup. I was in fear of him being out of the world cup and a serious doubt for our season next year.

Speaking of Ole, what's his medical status? Will he be match fit for next season?

Yep, he's been playing regularly in the reserves and has also featured recently for the first team. I'd expect him to be in South Africa in July. He just needs to regain his top form :D

As for the FA/Rooney debacle - did you expect anything less from the FA? I think that both sides have handled this badly, however the FA accusing United of lying needs to be adressed - and IF true then United need to address this also. I also didn't appreciate ITV using the term "ManYoo" in the report as this is widely regarded as an insult by the fans of the club.A national broadcaster is supposed to conduct themselves impartially.

Stotty thats bollocks. I am an England fan first and a Chelsea fan second. Unlike you wierdo's at old trafford with your warped excuses for your disloyalty to England.

I don't understand why there are some people that would not want Rooney to get every minute possible in the World Cup. Sure England are through, but if it was qualifying stages then i would understand.

But this is World Cup, did some of you even consider that it is every player's dream to play in the World Cup and i know Rooney is on the 9th moon right now dreaming of getting a go at Sweden. The argument that he shouldn't play just to be a little bit more fit for United's season, is just plain stupid. Don't even defend the club, if they really tried to stop Rooney from playing on purpose. They have a good reason for it, but why are the fans complaining? The more he plays, the more he learns and better player he will be for us.

Just think what would you rather do, if you were Rooney?

haha just because my opinion doesn't agree with yours you feel you have to insult me? But yes, as your 40 years old you do have the maturity for such actions. How you can call me disloyal to England is also beyond me based on the little knowledge you have about me. But of course, YOU can make that judgement, because you were sat in the ground during the 1966 cup final.

However i seriously can't see your problem with the situation, and its merely your lack of respect and arrogance that is the problem. As there is no way through this, i feel there is little point in argueing the obvious case as you will merely dimiss it with more insults and patriotic bullsh*t. If you would like to point out the "bollocks" in my case then please do so, and i will happily point you in the right direction.

Lets not forget though, we are both supporting the English team as much as we can throughout the next few weeks, and we should be celebrating the fact that Wayne Rooney WILL be playing which will clearly aid our performance. Can't we forget what has happened over the past few weeks, and unite as a nation and get behind the boys? I'm sure we fit in the odd heated discussions when your little London team come up to face us in the next season eh? ;)

Whats the point in takin the risk vs Gaining match fitness

Thats not QUITE the arguement. You do realise this injury could ruin his career......

Stotty I made a generalising statement regarding the Man U > England stance of many Man U fans. I never said you were one of them at all mate.

Rooneys injury, as it turns out, never was career threatening or indeed bad enough to rule him out of the England set up at all. He could have and should have been training from day one and perhaps even played in our first game IF he had of been fit enough. Its patently obvious that Ferguson wanted him to withdraw altogether. Not for Rooneys well being at all, but for Fergusons own selfish and bigoted reasons. I understand that some fans find it impossible to critisize their top men, even when they are wrong, but this decietfulness is just indefensible. Of course we are all behind the England team and for now, all we can do is put it behind us and get on with it, but this will not go away you must know that. After the World Cup the country is gonna want to know WHY Ferguson lied to everyone. Rooney wants to know why too. I think the old fart has dug himself into a hole this time for sure, and I hope that somehow he is made to pay for the disruption to this campaign that has been his doing. The media are ready to slaughter him over it already, so he just wants to pray that England come home with at least some credit. It might soften the rage a bit but not much i would think.

Well, Chelsea actually did something similiar with "Del Horno" , with the exception that Del Horno is spanish, so english patriots would not care about it.

Spain slam blues over Del Horno

Not the same at all. Genaro Borras was constantly at Stamford bridge personally supervising Horno's treatment. He was giving permission to do what he pleased with him, because we had all but finished with Del Horno at Chelsea anyway. He is hardly a valued player at our club as everyone knows. Borras fu<ked up if the truth be known.

If it had turned out that Jose was decieving the Spaniards, which they say is NOT the case by the way, I would want Jose to be held to account for that. I would not be so hypocritical. It works the same for everyone.

in some points, pede you're right. i really don't give a **** whether england have rooney from day 1 or no since i'm not english man. but if the news is true, i'm angry and blame SAF not allow rooney participant in WC. this could be a turning point for wayne to become a super star in future, a chance for him to learn in this big stage, a priceless opportunity in his career. there is nothing wrong for a manager to protect his best young talent forward in the club which may bring him success next season, but it is also ugly if he tried to hide the truth behind rooney's injury which will rule him out of WC.

one thing pede, please don't call us, man utd fans are scum. this is insult.
