Don't know what show you were watching, but the season after which Beckham was sold, he set-up Ruud for 26 goals, yes that's 26 succesfull crosses just to one player.ladylover said:Yeah if I remember correctly a football show here in Holland found out that Ruud didn't score that much from Beckham's crosses, it was a remarkable fact. You would have expected a lot of goals from Ruud. He just scored from a couple of Beckham's crosses
Don't worry, i read the whole sentence, i just decided to disregard the part where you said "because he can't get into a good position to do so", my reason for that is that he doesn't need to get into a good position to do so, if he is in open space and withing 70 yards of a player, he can give him a great cross.RockShow said:read the entire sentence. not just the 4 word you put in bold. the next england game i want you to do something. i want you to count how many times david beckham crosses the ball into the box.
the only time during this world cup he has delivered quality ball into the box is from free kicks or the game when he was switched to right back and lennon started running the right wing opening up a ton of space for beckham to operate.
can beckham pass/cross the ball? yes, but what good is a good passer/crosser of the ball if he has zero vision and a complete lack of ability in 1 on 1 situations?
Now i want you to look at the rest of the World Cup games and find me a player that makes dozens of "quality" crosses into the box.
"What good is a passer/crosser of the ball if he has zero vision and a complete lack of ability in 1 on 1 situations?" I don't know, i guess his 33 assists for England up to this date really don't do all that much to England and his countless assists for United and Real that lead to goals were all irrelevant to the team's success either.
Beckham with zero vision, you gotta be ****ting me .
