How good is this hutton...never seen him play.

He's done pretty well in the SPL - I don't know how that'd equate to success in the Premier League though - but I trust the Wizard's judgment.

I personally think he played very well in the Champions League ... was one of the reasons for Rangers' early form in the competition ... I reckon he could serve as Evra's equivalent on the right ... plus he's got time on his side to mature, so I'd definitely back him to do well in the Prem ...

Okay, you'll just have to believe me here, but Alan Hutton's not leaving for Man U this month, but he will be there in the summer. That's why he rejected Spurs bid. He wants to see out the season at Rangers, and hopefully win the league, then he'll leave to join Man Utd. He rejected Spurs for another reason too...he wants Champions League football, and it doesn't look as if Spurs will be in it for a while yet.

That last post of VanTheMans was enough to get him onto my ignore list. His posts have turned to utter rubbish.

Mascherano has supposedely said he wants to join Tevez at Man Utd. Liverpool look unlikely to pay the 17million they had agreed with MSI. I don't think we need him though. He will most likely go to Juventus I think.

That's a dangerous thing to say, while stilll in pool.

Yep. But he says he has to think about his future as each day it becomes more apparent that Liverpool aren't interested in him. He says he wants to be with Tevez like he was at Corinthians and West Ham.

what a frustrating performance by Saha. Hes one of my favourite players but his performance is dipping time and time again. He kept giving the ball away and couldnt hold up the ball. Yet again our defenders were the heroes. All our attackers had an off day until Rooney came. He made the difference. Oh yea and carrick...what happened to this boy... the last 2 games he has been piss poor. Looks like a player short on confidence. We need a much improved performance against newcastle!

IMO Carrick was decent yesterday, especially his defensive duties and covering was impressive, mainly because of him our defence didn't have a difficult day

I agree with you with Saha, he was pretty poor. Far too selfish most of the time. But have to disagree with you on Carrick, ok his passing wasn't as incredible as always, but he played a perfect role in front of the back four - his covering, finding space and providing other players with options was as top notch as always.

The way Carrick plays is so subtle that he never really gets the credit he deserves and yesterday he had another one of those unsung hero games and made life so much easier for the defence.

Carrick did a good job. Anderson showed flashes though I think he really needs to score - I have a feeling that once he does he'll just become more confident.

Wazza was the difference though, Ronaldo just seemed to spark into life when he came on - Villa doubled up on him all day. I thought Giggsy was sub par yesterday though even though he still had flashes of brilliance I thought he looked tired.

Anderson will get more confident as soon as he receives more chances of starting in the first XI.
SAF needs to give more chances to him and Carrick. They will be replacing Scholes after all.

He's getting a good run and he's playing well - but I just think once he scores that first goal he'll start to express himself more like when he was at Porto. Once he has the confidence to take people on etc it'll add another dimension to his game.

YEah I dont know what happened to that Anderson. I know Anderson as a player in the mood of a Ronaldinho, a Robinho. A player that moves freely in the field and takes players on as if they arent there. He has changed into a different player. Now he passes the ball a lot more. And doesnt use his pace as often as at Porto. Yes, now he plays as a CM, not as an attacking midfielder as in Porto, but still. He needs to return to his old style. It is much more fun to look at ;) (and it was also effective) This kid is phenomenal and he is showing it bit by bit. Lets just hope he goes back to his dribbling days ;)

I am still convinced that he is a much better prospect than Nani.

Andersons peformances don't need to be questioned at all in my opinion. Was I the only one that saw him burst from our half into Aston Villas box aswell ? The good thing about Anderson, is he's only bringing out the skill and flair when its needed. In a youngster you don't need somebody that plays for personal gain and glory, Anderson is playing for the team as a complete midfielder, and I hope he doesn't change his methods. He was once again involved in another goal against Villa (slipping Giggs through for Ronaldo's goal). He is becomming everything in the midfield, that link up man, tackler, passer and creator. And he's only 19.
