Louis Saha has been training with the first-team squad but is unlikely to take part on Sunday, while new signing Anderson is struggling with a hamstring strain. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's knee is still troubling the Norwegian and Wayne Rooney could be out for two months after breaking a bone in his foot last weekend. That said, not all the news is bad.

"Owen Hargreaves is still feeling the problem of tendonitis in his knee but he is doing some bits of training, which is encouraging," the boss added. "Gary Neville has also been doing bits of training but he's not really near [to playing on Sunday]."

Jesus just as well we got all these new players. 6 injured players, all of which play first team football and ron banned :D lol all you can do is laugh.

I guess we can take peace in the thought of how strong we will be when there all back.

Wonder how parks doing?

Ji Sung won't be back till at least November, but probably Christmas - I'm assuming no news is good news so I guess he's on target.

According to today's papers, Fletcher is likely to play right wing V City, with Nani on the left and Giggs up front.

I'd prefer to see Scholes play just behind Carlitos, Giggs on the left, Nani on the right (and they'll switch) with Fletcher in the middle of midfield with Carrick (unless Anderson is fit)

What I don't want to see is John O'Shea as striker again, can't they call Fraizer Campbell up?

rather see dong given a chance.

his stats are quite impressive, hes looked better preseason too.

Club statistics
Dalian Shide: 14 Games - 20 Goals 2001- 2004
Manchester United: 1 Game- 0 Goals 2004- now
Royal Anwerp (Loan): 61 Games - 34 Goals 2004- 2006

i think giggs should just stick to the left wing.... more effective there. a scrappy win would do for me but i seriously wonder where the creativity is gonna come from. Our firepower upfront just doesnt cut it without ronaldo and rooney.

The Belgian second division (semi-pro I think) is a long way from the premiership, he'll probably end up at a league 1 or championship club, I can't see him getting a chance here.

those stats don't impress me at all
as thelonious said, the premierleague has nothing to with with secondary division clubs, which are not even from uk

Help?

Cut that **** out, still scared that United might rape City's ass so you gotta try to compensate by posting these?

you guys seem to be missing the point with the subject of dong and cambell.

Too quote myself...

I have a differ of opinion, I don't think there's anything wrong with the lad, his finish could do with some improvement put his work rate is massive, high work ethic.

Watching him pre season a few times has been great, he seems better then last season, quick and controlled. All in all he's improving.

His last goal was rather nice, think he even set-up the first. Dont get me wrong hes no wayne rooney, but hes improving and deserves a chance.

dong goal here

He could do with game time against good opposition, hes got potential, I'd give him a year or two. Good luck too him.

What i'm trying to say, no matter how good giggs is as a player I fail to believe he would be better suited in that position then compared with cambell or dong. I'd also think dong is better then cambell, and considering our striker crisis would be good to see him get a chance, or atleast on the sub bench.

anyway i cant see it happening saf will put giggs up front again. Fingers crossed they will win today.

yes but we cant afford to be behind 4 points already plus we play city on sunday away so we'll be lucky to get adraw there too, chelsea will prob beat liverpool so they'll then be 6 points ahead, far too big a gap for the end of the first week of the season

see i was right, and well its chelsea league now. cos were ****ed. we aint gonna be nowhere near retaining it at this rate. ******* ****e.

Ronaldo really carried us last season, once hes back we will return to form.

and it will be way too late by then, a chelsea win today and well we can kiss out title goodbye cos we'll be so far behind and with most of the season to go we'd pretty much have to win the remaining 35 games which aint gonna happen.

fergie needs to buy a stiker and bloody fast as we cant score for ****

Before someone says it, don't give me crap like "Oh we played well today, were just unlucky not to have scored a goal, i am gonna keep faith in fergie, we dont need fans like you so plz stfu now."

Guess what fergie is gonna do with his bottle of wine.

Damn!!! What is this?!?! Worst start ever, we need our players back asap, we played decent today, but like earlier matches, we couldn't finish our chances. Nani was good today, Tevez looked good aswell, luckily he didn't score his last chance, he reacted a fraction too late

Terrible start by our standards. Positive thing is the debut of Hargreaves. I thought he was our best player today.

ps. huntelaar scored 4.

Oh Yeah, I forgot to mention Hargreaves, he was great today, best man on the pitch, looked energetic for his first game, I think we can expect a lot more from him, he showed why SAF wanted him badly, we need our goalscoring touch badly, it is not like we are playing bad, but no worries (yet), we will find our form,
