No, he tried the Ronaldo way of taking penalties, run, pause, run, strike. Like I said, he will learn, and he's just 17, so cut him some slack.

In my opinion playing that game was stupid in the first place. Players just came back from a hectic christmas schedule and they can finally get some good rest time before an intense run-up in a few weeks. So why play unnecessary games? A million pounds on a big scale that United will get from the trip is really not that much. The trip itself could be good, but the game 48 hours after Reading and the flying time can take its toll.

Kinda appropriate considering the situation. Sure Simao and Figo does it too but every United fan would have watched Ronaldo take pens than the other too.

And Manucho scored a cracking goal.

As expected, Manucho is a similar player to Adebayor, I think less mobile. We all know that SAF is a fan of a player like Adebayor. Manucho is TALL, we could use his length in difficult games

I think he might of meant Roy Keane, Dwight Yorke, and Andy cole being there ? But either way, the links to Man Utd throughout the team is quite funny.

PLus Paul McShane and Danni HIgginbotham, who were reserves during the 2001-2003 seasons.. (people that followed the team by that time might know them; bandwagon jumpers hear them now, but it's ok)

ah my bad, forgot those guys being there. I remember seeing Higginbotham playing for Sunderland and thinking "hey i remember him playing for United". I remember seeing McShane play for Brighton when he was on loan there, was fantastic for them.

In case Simps doesn't take SAF's chance to progress in the first team, he would head to Sunderland as well, i bet on that :D

What would you guys say about Manucho? He is performing really good on CAF. I underestimated him a bit in previous posts. He might turn to be a good recruit for the United cause. :)

I doubt Simpson would go on loan to Sunderland. They have Phil Bardsley now, so Simpson being there (and playing first team) would just limit Bardsleys progression and first team opportunities. So if Simpson does go on loan, it most likely wouldn't be Sunderland.

Manucho looks to be decent. He would be a lot more usable than Saha obviously, because he never plays, so it could be alright if he does join us now. What about that rumour of him going on loan to Panathainikos? I heard it at the time, but it hasn't been suggested since.

simpson can make the cut at united. He just needs more games and experience. For me, SAF should allow chris eagles to leave. And hopefully manucho will be granted a work permit. bcuz it does look like saha will be on the sideliness for another season. I dont know what to say about louis... when hes fit hes one of the best CFs in the league but the problem is hes never fit.
