I think Rooney's been overshadowed by the amount of goals Ronaldo scored this season, but honestly IMO, teams would fear your team a lot less if you don't have Rooney rather than Ronaldo.............thats what I think at least....

Maybe a little low for Rooney's standards, but he has had to stop start a lot just as he gets to goal scoring form. He's due a Flurry of goals soon, I'm sure he will get it before season's out. He's roughly got another 20 games. I think he "could" net more goals then last year, but with the way Ronaldo's hammering them in it will be hard.

I am not saying that Rooney is less important. In fact I think people miss-understood what Rooney is all about for the team. That kid was never meant to get 30 goals plus per season. He is a forward that makes plays for his partner, do all the dirty work up front and literally raping opponent's ass all over the pitch. So far this season I think he does good with his job.
Rooney is an important part for us, but when we need a player that can change the game with one magical move, it's Ronaldo we turn our heads to.

Rooney and Ronalso cannot be compared just as a lemon and an orange cannot be compared.
Both of them are great players in their own right and have done a lot for our club.
I don't know why people say that Ronaldo is not a big match player.Have we forgotten the world cup semi final in 2006(Portugal v/s Italy,I think).I also think he played better than any other player on the pitch that day but as Italy were a better team they won.
As per the Champions League matches against Milan the weight of expectations on Ronaldo's shoulders were far greater than those of Kaka(for obvious reasons).He could'nt live up to that and so he did not have an upto the standard match.He really needs to get it right though.

no one's comparing them mate, i'm only debating on which would an opposing team would prefer to face, and for the record, it was Portugal against France, it was the match where I really felt sorry for him(CR7 crying at the end after they lost and got snubbed at young player awards), since the media was all over him at the time(for the incident involving Rooney ironically)...
i'm saying at club level btw, i don't think he's proved himself against the top teams in Europe, but he does have all the time in the world to do so in the future.........

United are absolutely spoilt for choice in midfield. There all quality players you have Nani, Giggs, Hargreaves, Carrick, Scholes, Fletcher, Park, Ronaldo & Anderson.
Anderson's had a chance to play a fair few games but there's been rotation as you can imagine. He's had more of a chance with players like Scholes being injured. Hardgreaves been out too. The majority of the games hes played he's been great! I'm sure its causing headaches for SAF as to who to pick.
