Peace Ho!

@ All Barca fans.....See you in Old Trafford!

Let's turn our heads to the Chelsea game now!

What truly surprised me was that Fergie set United up to camp in our own half and allow Barca possesion in the midfield (which could have backfired) When clearly we could have really given their defence problems and snare the vital away goal. Of course if Ronny had buried the penalty we'd be hailing Fergie as a genius - but Ronaldo didn't get his stupid tactic out of jail this time.

United are best attacking, we let other teams cope with us - that is the United way and has been since Sir Matt. Rooney was playing almost left back at some stages and Scholes looked paralysed (He doesn't shoot anymore at all) Anderson could have really torn into the heart of Barca's midfield.

At Old Trafford we have to be at our best, dictate the pace and attack attack attack, I think we need at least 2 goals, because Barca could carve some pretty good chances.

Anyway we have to go to Fortress Stamford tomorrow, win and the title is more or less ours. I have an uneasy feeling that it will not be that simple - Chelsea have managed to eke out results somehow on home turf and I suspect somehow they will get a share of the spoils. With West Ham looming in our path (I remember 1995 all too clearly) I wouldn't fancy needing a result from that game.

That B*stard Friedel always becomes World class against us - I hate him.

I don't know, i think a 1-0 over Barcelona is quite a very realistic result. The fact that we'll attack is no doubt, the team will need a goal and no matter what they will have to go full-out eventually. As far as Barcelona scoring, nothing really from the first leg convinced me that they are good at it. Whenever, Eto'o was in the box he would either take too long to release his shot or more often then not he would telegraph his cutback pass, just like many other. The rest of the shots were from long distance and even those didn't seem to trouble Van Der Sar.

Anyway, Chelsea tomorrow and its a big game. But i think we can definietly win it tomorrow, even if the facts point against us.

I dont' think you've seen us, or our players, play very often. You are lucky Eto'o had an off day, because normally, he is one of the most clinical finishers in the game. That backheel that Iniesta gave him would have been a goal 9 times out of 10, but he was very off, not sure why. I do hope you continue to underestimate us this way though....

See you on Tuesday

aye, I think it was too do with the stage/pressure of the game somewhat. Take Ronaldo for example, the guy normally runs like a machine. Pin point accuracy. His targeting system must of needed re-aligning. Not too mention the crappy passing from team.

I hope barca continue to underestimate us. But as I mentioned before Football is an unpredictable game. One laps of concentration or one beautiful play can decide games.

I can see this going both ways, although I feel were bound to score at home at Old Trafford during the biggest stage of the season in a European semi final against European pedigree, Barcelona. It doesn't come much bigger then this, they will run till they die or the ref blows the final whistle.

I wasn't undermining Eto'o skills, i was merely saying that Barcelona's attack is very off-form right now and goals come very hard for them.

My fellow Manchester United supporters, our opponent today is a dangerous foe. But we will face the enemy in his den, for we will go forward with lady luck at our back sand we have the belief we will seize our chance. All because at 12:10am this morning another member was born too our ranks, my goddaughter Ananja.

enjoy the game, i know nothing will dampen my spirits today, this is a contest of champions among men. May the best team win. ( us of course :p )

The team looks a bit tired, but i want more from the guys like Nani, Anderson, Giggs, Fletcher and Silvestre. They are the fresh ones and they have to start doing the work. Nani's decision making hasn't been very good so far, lets hope it improves. Vidic going down with an injury is a huge loss for us and let's hope he is back for Tuesday.

Anyway, deserveably 1-0, let's hope the boys get their head in the game because its far from over.

Fergie change the bloody tactics!!! 4-5-1 we can never impose ourselves. We are getting overrun in midfield. I cant see us coming back...the signs are not there. And brown has to keep his compsure! .... i am speechless. expected better

Chelsea is no Barcelona, they can't control the ball as well, but they are far better attacking the net. Ferguson has taken a huge risk resting Ronaldo, Tevez, Evra, Scholes and having forced to play Hargreaves at right back again. Although the players out there should be doing better.

Vedran-10

Starting XI
Vidić went down like he passed out.

Nice goal btw. United are crap again, taking the game too lightly. Ferguson seems eager to risk the league, I don't know why he's resting Ronaldo and Tevez, this game is as important as the CL one, because the league is a safer bet for you.

That's a very very unlucky game. 2 shots cleared right off the line by Cole and Shevchenko. That's too bad, we dug ourself a whole. I still can't believe Carrick would handle it in the box. Why in the world would you do that? There were 2 other defenders to cover his back, who actually looked more like getting it. Its our own fault i guess, we were given a goal and we gave one back. Undeserved result but what are you gonna do, that's football. Now we have to take care of West Ham and Wigan.

I thought Ferguson blew it when he brought on John O'Shea for Anderson. That handed the initiative for Chelsea to attack. Still if Chelsea were to be champions this season, they will deserved it because its the league table, despite them being a dreadful team. But cheer up boys, I'm sure we will win.

I disagree. I thought Chelsea dominated 2/3 of the game and the two shots were a result of the goal Chelsea scored. Now, we have to concentrate on Barcelona and put this behind us. It's harsh if we end up trophyless, but that's what we deserve if we keep tinkering like we did today.
