Fergie said he won't be making any changes this January. No one would be interested in playing for the EUROPA Cup anyway. I hope Fergie realizes that we need central midfielders in the summer. Cleverley and Anderson are the future but we need spmething now.
Yeah the EUROPA cup thing is gonna mean that players at teams still in the Champions League would rather come at the end of the season, but considering that in recent years Ferguson has made almost all his signings from non-CL and often non EUROPA league sides (Jones, Smalling, Young, Hernandez etc) that really shouldn't bother him that much. Number one target Mr Carlos Rodwell would come
And your most urgent priority is probably that experienced central playmaker midfielder but you could also use another forward to support Rooney so Hernandez can be an impact sub, an experienced but not old central defender and full backs for both sides!

What do you guys think of Jones as a DM? He was absolutely fantastic in the last game. I initially thought that we overpaid him but it was actually a bargain. He has the versatility of O'Shea (Can plan DM, CB, R
but is much better and dynamic already. I'm not sure if its a good idea playing him out of position at such a young age though. But if you think about it, his dynamism and energy would be wasted in central defence.
I think it's a terrible idea. Jones has the potential to be the next Rio Ferdinand or John Terry but if you play him all over the shop he's not gonna get there and will be confused about what to do and what his role in the team is and is to be and will become simply a Carlos of all trades, master of none. You play him like John O'Shea, he'll end up an O'Shea standard player. Ferguson needs to have faith, not be SO reliant on him, and over the next couple of seasons gradually develop him and bring him into the first choice pair of centre backs. Then you'll finally have a suitable replacement for Ferdinand or Vidic and possibly your future captain.
And Evans is rubbish, I dont care if he can make himself look good every once in a while against mediocre attacks, you will never be able to rely on him week in week out. The difference between him and Smalling is enormous, right now they are about as good as each other but Smalling has only just started developing and you can tell Evans has almost finished!
