what strip are stuttgart gonna wear when they come to OT... i hope we dun have to wear black shorts and socks like against pompey where we had to wear white socks so that pompey had an available kit to wear.... im sure stuttgart will take out a kit from last season that doesnt clash like monaco...

It was a good performance by United and a poor performance by Rangers.
Forlan had a well taken goal, making it 4 goals in 4 games and putting himself on the team-sheet for the game against Liverpool. He almost had 2 after another good shot which came back off the crossbar for Ruud to put in, even if he knew little about it.
The second half was more impressive from United except for about 5mins where we seemed to sit back a bit and a few individual errors contributed to Rangers applying a little bit of pressure, with their 1 good shot (a free-kick) being saved by Howard and cleared for a corner by Silvestre.
Ronaldo was impressive. I loved the moment he caught a flighted ball on his foot, balancing it for a moment before flicking it away. Then showed some nifty footwork before slipping over. Shame he slipped, but all in good spirits. Keano performed a step-over then resulting in chants of 'Keano' from the home fans.
Ruud was in good form following his 1st goal. His 2nd was a tap in following a Giggs free-kick, but Ruud's movement was impressive. I was sat right along the line and he managed to draw the defenders back towards goal by standing offside until just before Giggs took the kick, he ran back onside before the ball was played in and tapped it in. Not sure if it was going in or not but from my angle it looked as though it was played for the tap in.
I'd say most of the United players played well. Of the subs Kleberson was okay, didn't look really good but he's just come back from injury after playing a couple of games for us previously. Bellion looked full of running, and quite a usefull player but still a bit raw. Fletcher was very impressive. Watching him he seems to play like Scholes. He's got good close control, is strong on the ball and passes well under pressure.

Rangers might have been outclassed by Man Utd but let's face it, Utd are a class above most teams in Europe, especially at Old Trafford!
As for Rangers not being able to cope with the English Premiership that's just nonsense. With the financial clout that the clubs have in England and the huge fan base that Rangers have they would almost certainly be top 10 regularly, if not UEFA Cup qualifiers. Celtic would be exactly the same.
Just a chant from the match mate. All in good spirits.
But on the basis of Tuesday nights performance Rangers would be around about as good as Blackburn, or Villa. Because, apart from Lovenkrantz, they offered no threat at all and it was quite similar in the match at Ibrox despite them putting on a better all-round show than they did at OT.
I don't doubt that they have the finances to compete in the EPL though.
That's not quite what I said!
What I said was that the financial clout that the Premiership would bring to the Old Firm would give them the chance to sign an overall better class of player thus making them all the stronger being already better than some Premiership teams even now.
