Well we seemed the get back on track Sunday, let's see if the train will be derailed again. Ruud is doubtful for this match after picking up an injury in the Holland match on Wednesday (Damn Internationals :kader: ). If he's not fit by then, Saha should partner Rooney upfront. with the rest of the team unchanged from Sunday. Fergie has said Ronaldo won't be rested as yet, so he should be in there as well, just hope he scores for us like he does for Portugal.

My Team

Gazza
Rio
Mikey
Heinze

Skysports' preview :

Ruud van Nistelrooy is Manchester United's main injury concern for the visit of Charlton Athletic, live on Prem Plus.

The prolific marksman suffered a knock to his hip during Holland's 2006 World Cup qualifying victory over Andorra in midweek.

Though van Nistelrooy expects to shrug off the complaint, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson may opt to rest the striker with a key UEFA Champions League clash with Lyon next week in mind.

In addition to van Nistelrooy's injury, Louis Saha picked up a knee problem while on international duty with France and is unlikely to feature.

That could leave Alan Smith partnering Wayne Rooney in attack, with the teenager looking to banish a tempestuous performance for England by building on last week's double salvo against Newcastle United.

Darren Fletcher could again start after impressing Ferguson against Newcastle, while Ryan Giggs is pushing for a return to the team after being on the bench for the last two Premiership matches.

The lunchtime tussle with Charlton will also nudge Ferguson nearer to a landmark as it will be his 999th game in charge of The Red Devils.

Charlton have yet to beat United in ten Premiership meetings and their 0-0 draw on the final day of the 2001/02 season is the only occasion they have emerged from Old Trafford with a point.

Addicks boss Alan Curbishley has a virtually full-strength squad to select from as he takes his troops up north.

He will be anxious to witness a better performance than on his team's last trip to Manchester as they were crushed 4-0 by United's local rivals City in August.

South African striker Shaun Bartlett missed last week's thumping of Norwich through suspension and could replace Kevin Lisbie in the team.

Mark Fish is the only notable absentee while Jerome Thomas is tipped to retain his place ahead of Dennis Rommedahl, who has yet to shine for Charlton.

Skysports.com prediction: 2-0
United to build on the momentum gained against Newcastle and continue their Indian sign over Charlton.

I wont predict anything i just want a win!

Rooney doesnt need to be rested :) He actually needs games, like Ferguson has said. When your out of the game for even a short period of time your fitness level and general standards wont be used to the asking of the premier league. So he's gotta play as much as he can because he believe it or not is still gettin used to the speed etc, because like I said he was injured :D

The Red Devil
Saha is out for a month after playing in a pointless International friendly. Charlton have conceded 17 goals in their last 6 away games so i expect 3 points and many goals against the cockneys.

**** happens only to us.
why do our players always get injured in int friendlies?
Just when we though Saha would be available to shine back,he is out for 1 month.
he may turn out to be veron in disguise

Think about us then :(

Yakubu + Kamara injured with Fuller returning from the Usa and Lua Lua having a slight muscle strain! We havent got the money either lol.

But yea we lost to Charlton away this year 2-1 and I cant believe how. After Berger's beautiful goal of the season, Shaka mucks up. But they're no better than us (Pompey) on their day, just one of those annoying teams you feel you should get points against.

But I think United'll beat em :)

Out of curiousity, does anyone here actually go to Old Trafford? Doesnt seem many do?

Injury curse struck again I suppose on Saha, but it isn't as bleak as you think, at least Ruud back in training and may play tomorrow if not he be rested for the Lyon game, we still have Smith and Rooney to called upon too, it isn't that bad.
