Maximum widescreen resolution is only 1280x960??

Plz tell me this is not just yet another lazy conversion from Konami yet again??
I would prefer 1600x1050...
Anyways round this problem?
Also there is that dreaded ripple thru game and I cannot use Radlink this time as I switched to nVidia with latest PC rig etc, how too can I get the smoothest run of game?

Just overwrite the settings file with the one from the link, there are 4 different ones for various resolutions. They just about cover all the ones missed in the game.
