anyone who finished Snake Eater, im fighting the boss, The End, right now and i was wondering how much more i have to go to finish the game??

I clocked it in about 25 hours. the End boss was a killer for me, I ended up leaving it a week and he dies of natural causes. you still got a while to go yet!!

bah, you did it the cheap way (H)

The End is an intense battle of endurance... I tranquilized him and got his gun :p best thing to do is to use the map and travel near each sniping point (not too close to them though) and use the directional microphone to hear his breathing...

he breathes loud, and sometimes he mutters "this is the end", so it's easy to spot him... when you've figured out where he is, just sneak a bit closer very slowly, and keep listening until he falls asleep and starts snoring... when he does, sneak behind him and give him a few rounds in the head

and like Inter said, the first time you get behind him, hold him up and get his camo, gives you 100% sometimes :p

after you shoot him, he throws a stun grenade and runs away... so when he throws it, just turn and look in the opposite direction so you dont get blinded... he runs fast for an old guy, so you gotta put your thermal goggles on and track his footprints (dont bother trying to chase & shoot, just follow him for a while then stealthily track him down with his footprints)

and when he starts saying "forest, give me your strength" or whatever, quickly get your ass to him and shoot him before he can recharge his stamina... I think if you interrupt it the first time, he never does it again

Very True !
Why wouldn't Konami do this ?!

It would be much better if GC version: MGS:Twin Snakes could make a direct port to PS2 version. I demand the same thing, man.

Metal Gear Solid 4 Confirmed

KOJIMA CONFIRMS METAL GEAR SOLID 4 FOR NEXT-GEN

Burning hot news straight from Konami's ongoing European MGS 3 launch event

17:25 Solid Snake mastermind Hideo Kojima has confirmed that work is shortly to begin on Metal Gear Solid 4.
Speaking to press at Konami's European launch event for Metal Gear Solid 3, currently underway in Berlin, Germany, Kojima-san revealed that Metal Gear Solid 4 "will be a next-generation title" and went on to say that number four will kick off a brand new series featuring Solid Snake.

Although Kojima-san was giving away few extra details, he did let slip that the concept of Metal Gear Solid 4 will be "No place to hide". He also quipped that there would be "No place for Hideo". He plans to tack a step back and assume the role of executive producer on MGS 4, meaning he won't be as hands-on with the sequel as he was with Metal Gear Solid 3.

Stepping in as producer on Metal Gear Solid 4 is Ken-Ichiro Imaizumi. "We'll be taking it [MGS 4] to the next-gen and we want to feature a fresh, intriguing storyline and gameplay plus captivating graphics and more features while remaining true to the core of the MGS series - remaining Solid. We hope you'll enjoy," Imaizumi-san told an excited press gathering at Konami's event.

YELLOW CARD - Sarcasm
This game is the most infuriating of the series.

I seriously need some tips on sneaky and killing guards. Everyone seems to have telepathic abilities, they always turn around as soon as I'm about to put the sleeper on them. Then when I get caught, there is no where to hide, NO WHERE! :kader:
