Middlesbrough v Man Utd [P+R]

I was hoping Boro would win 5-0 or maybe even 6-0. 4-1 is not bad but I'm sure Fergie will have something/someone to blame and try and hide the fact that he's lost the plot.

plain and simple.we sucked.this ruined my weekend.
apart from rooney, ronaldo and to some exten ruud, the players sucked/
rio looked a twat.he ciost us 2 goals.

fergie has lost the plot4-3-3?
and that 3is scholes, fletcher and SMITH?
smith thinks he's got wings and can fly, making those cu*t tackles.
we need someone like ballack, but as vince said from his post, ballack after looking at this would prefer wigan instead.

nothing away from boro.they were absoilute class.
well done mcclaren.

we need a new midfield now.scholes sucks big time.
fergie has somehow lost the plot.

the last thing want is for us to do a liverpool-fading giants.

lets play our carling cup team v chelsea next week.

United's success in the 90's was built on the best mid-field 4 in the country. Now look at it, not a whisker on what it used to be.

I don't think Fergie has lost the plot but it looks like he's persisting with trying to impose a system on a team who're not cut out for it. There isn't anything wrong with the 4-3-3 system IF you have the right players to accommodate that system. United simply don't have the quality in the middle of the park to impose that system anywhere near successfully enough.

Let's face it when teams used to beat United it was considered a one off, it's now common place.

we play 4-3-3 because fergie thinks we can play like chelsea and dominant england with that formation. he thinks scholes = lampard, smith = makelele and fletcher = essien

:boohoo:

Glazers must think hard about this result, and maybe ante-up the cash at Xmas.

Today was a fully deserved victory for Middlesborough. Anything less than 4-1 would have been unjustified. The way that united played was dreadful. Theres no point even pointing out the hole in the 'u know what position.'

We are missing Heinze and Gaz jus as much as originally presumed.

The way it seems to be heading is, Chelsea will run comfortable winners over United at OT. Man Utd might as well play the rossis, bardsleys and ebbe banks, because the Ferdinands, O'Sheas and friends just can't seem to be bothered to even hustle.

Man Utd is playing now, like Madrid did before, and shortly after queiroz took a stint at the club. It's almost as if, nobody jus gives a f*ck.

Didn't expect anything more from that side. And this is going to continue until there is changes. Good job Middlesborough.

I'm suprised queer hasn't come out in his usually optimistic manner, pulling positives out of the game ala sven style.

Glazer should show some balls and make drastic changes!

Scholes - Past It
Smith - Forward not Midfielder!
Fletcher - Over-rated
Keane - Past It
O'Shea - should be shot
Rio - Money hungry wanker

Fergie must go I'm afraid. He's done all he can, but he can't inspire the players anymore! He can take Carlos with him! A black day in our history!

just pissed myself reading this on the bbc forum :D

Ok guys we lost again, it hurts, but.... and listen,

Tomorrow you will wake up, turn on sky sports news or pick up the paper, and BAM it will hit you, we lost 4-1 to an average Boro side who were on a good day, and you will see things like "LETS FIRE FERGIE" etc in the papers...

Should we?

NO.

Were missing great players....
1. Keane - Best Midfeilder Possibly Ever + Captin
2. Gary Neville - The best right back in the world and a pure inspiration on the pitch
3. Ryan Giggs - Quality Left Winger

Therefore we are having to play as what I see to be 2 attacking midfeilders, and it seems they just cant click with each other at the moment, the quicker fortune or keane can return the better to our midfeild, having Keane will mean that we can let Scholes get up and score the goals he is so famous for.

We have got to give fergie time to rebuild the sqaud, we WILL finish in the top 2 of the league, i think for silver wear we will have to look towards FA and Carling cup, youve got to remember all the players fergie is bringing into the sqaud, and next season, these "Kids" will win us the league...
1. Rossi - Unbelivible
2. Bardsley - Man Utd through and through, what we need
3. Richardson - quality left winger, could go on to be the best left back in the world with time
4. Pique is a quality player, trust me he is the replacement for rio in a few years time
5. Dave jones is a quality centre mid on loan at preston at the moment and he is doing brilliantly for them

I know its tough to loose, and the championship is drifting away, but lets back fergie and the team, in the long run, weve got one over chelsea

that is way too optimistic for my tastes. Giggs and Keane are passed it! we need to replace them, when they play they are nothing special anymore.

There're some other fans who refuse to let it go. They still live in the glory days of the past, and have this fantasy about "Fergie's new generation"..Fergie's gonna rebuild this, Fergie's gonna rebuild that....

Its fvcking pathetic seeing people just hang on to this bull**** for so long.LET IT GO for fvcks sake.

I'd take him in a heartbeat. While he's at it, he could bring over some big strong German players...these weak ass central midfielders aint cuttin it.
