Sorry pesfans but I may get fifa07 xbox 360 for the most pathetic reason.

I have played pes5 on and off throughout the year and never got past the
0-0, 1-0, 0-1 games many of you suffered at launch. I have tried, oh yes I have tried so hard to master this game but can't.

Thats the point for me eventually I want to master a game but with pes I just can't.

Er yes really pathetic reason for going for fifa07.

Its not a pathetic reason, you just prefer a higher scoring game and the only people that are going to have a problem with you wanting that out of a video game are low-life pathetic themselves, fanboys.

When playing against cpu my matches always finshes with that poor results, but playing against another people the situation changes a lot and its never boring.
Thats the fun about PES, to play against other players.

Tolerating PES5 that long is really a challenge.

I'd say try WE9LE... it's much much MUCH better.

And most importantly, before getting Fifa, try the demo, and see if you can tolerate the shallow mind-numbing gameplay.

The screenshots are amazing, there's no denying that. But the game itself.... :nape:

Yes of course I could and I have played on different star levels but like many pesfans like me; have put in a lot of work have been unrewarded on the highest setting.

For example I have played many FPS games on the highest setting and eventually a few months later I have won through and that for me is the reward and value for money. With pes I have never had that sense of achievement great game though it is!

I put it down to not learning everyone of the hundreds of overkill controller moves that pes includes. I enjoy online play but I prefer offline better but end up frustrated sometimes.

I know I leave myself open to be slammed as a player that doesn't practice enough but there we have it. I just hope pes6 will be more forgiving and rewarding.

Those 'hundreds of overkill controller moves' have nothing to do with your results. You say you're getting 0-0, 1-0, 0-1 games? It sounds as though your defense is solid. You just have to work on your attacking play. In PES, tactics matter. Even a slight tweak in your tactics can have huge implications.

For example, if you find that the CPU right winger is tearing you to shreds with crosses (even if they aren't scoring off of them), you can go into edit formation, and move your left back out one or two notches wider. This subtle change can immediately impact the game. The CPU will then try to find a different route to attack you. On the other hand, if you notice you're not quite getting enough men forward in attack, you can change one of your midfielder's roles from CMF to OMF, and he will immediately start to get forward more. Note: these two TACTICAL options are unavailable in FIFA. I was having the same problems scoring as you. It was only when I starting adjusting my tactics and formation strategies that the goals started coming.

You also have to find out what type of player you are. Do you like to play traditionally, trying to get the ball to your wingers and whip in early crosses? Or do you like to keep it on the ground with short, crisp passes and one-two's? Or do you like to run at defenders and create space by beating a defender to create a numbers advantage? Figuring out your play style goes a long way in PES. Don't give up on it...especially for FIFA. FIFA is remarkably improved this year, but tactically, they're not in the same league.

thats not pathetic thats football dont see teams always winning 5-0 plus i have both PES6 and FIFA 07 on 360 and ive owned 07 for 2 days and i am going to return it tommorow it is SH!T build up is poor to the GFX what i mean is looking at GFX from far looks really good and makes me want to keep the game but things like player faces etc are crap PES6 all the way and if your a true footie fan you will be able to past the no edit mode etc!!!

Update, enjoying pes6 since I purchased it. In fact I am finding it a bit easier than pes5.

Haven't played the full version of fifa07 xbox yet.
