Missing players?

While full of energy while 1st trying out the game I started to update some transfers (great feature!), I got blocked while doing Evertons' updates: I couldn't find Nuno Valente & Andy van der Meijde! I tried via their respectable ex-clubs (Porto & Inter) & via search under surname, but they were nowhere to be found (no, they were also not already in the Everton-squad).

Did I do something wrong or just looked with my nose instead of my eyes again or are these players (and maybe others) missing from the game? And if they are missing, why? A mistake, licences?

obviously a license thing. Riquelme (sp) of Villareal didn't make it on 05

And since both players were in 2005 it seems that it wouldn't be a licensing thing. I'm a little worried about missing players. I intend to trade in my copy of 2005 towards 2006 and if there are players I need to create I'd like to have the older game as a reference. I never did get Fadiga in my Bolton squad

There IS a licensing problem for some players in fifa06.
for ex. look at Anderlecht roster, the number 8 is called Milatovic Florek...
His real name is Nenad Jestrovic and he was in fifa 2005...seems like they have not had the rights for some individual players..
@Brondbyfan... Fadiga was just recovering from his heart operation at the time fifa 2005 was released..It was not sure he could play football again, that's why he was not in the roster

When updating a few transfers I tried to update Everton's transfers and when Valente and Van der mayde weren't at Porto and Inter I just expected them to have been moved already. I knew for Rangers Krygiakos and Bernard had to be made bby myself as they were freed in the summer.

Hidden Players

There IS a licensing problem for some players in fifa06.

I've found three other "hidden" players. Valerio Bernado with Inter Milan is actually Marco Materazzi, Petrovici Teodor (also) with Inter Milan is Adrian Mutu, and Rico Carls? with MetroStars is Youri Djorkaeff. The only difference with these three is that their birthdays don't correspond to the actual players.

There seem to many missing players in addition to Nuno Valente and Andy van der Meyde. So far, I've noticed Jay Bothroyd, Salif Diao, Dario Silva, Karagounis, Stephan Postma, Abel Xavier, and Phillippe Christianval are also missing. All of these players were apparently in the process of being transferred at the time of EA's cut-off date of 24 August for rosters, so I assume that had something to do with it.

Defays and Kere from Charleroi also have other names. And at Germinal Beerschot, there is a player with an unexisting number.
