Sometimes on an old discman, it can't read cdr burnt at high speed, burning at the lowest speed allows it to read the disc fine.

Oh yeah Imation's cds are great at a 8x speed also.So I am going to take your advice.

yeah it work fine... but u may notice the sound of the ps2 reading ya disc may be louder when burnt at higher speed. It shows how hard it tries to read the disc.

hey i just read this and i understood that u can download the gameshark cd from kazaa, is there any special way to burn it, any instructions or something, and then i can use that perfectly for the knife trick? is that right the boot disc i just downloaded is 49 mb in size, kind of small but is that about right?

i dont think you can DL the disc off kazaa....but i could be wrong

If your ps2 isnt modded, it wont be able to read the burnt gameshark disc.

Not on my PS2.Mine is from lik-sang.com (silver).It has a SCHP-5000 so it can read high speed disc as well as burnt DVD copies and other cool stuff.Cost me $249.I got dicount from the games I bought their.
But I have heard that noise on my cousin's PS2 when I tried one of my 24x cds.It works the PS2 much harder.

Yes that is about right for the bootdisc.You can't get a Gameshark cd on Kazaa.At least I think so.You can get it on eDonkey.To get it visit www.edonkey2000.com .

Slide-Card

Has anyone heard of the slide card? www.slide-card.com. It is basically the knife trick method but safer. I was planning to get it because of WE7. But I need to make sure if works. Any comments?
