Does anyone own a Mitsubishi FTO GS?

I am looking to sell my current motor and get this, I just want to see if anyone knows anything that I should be aware of.

Thx

You think so? I actually love it in person, its a lot larger than it looks, and the specs are crazy for what it is.

The one I am looking at is a 1.8 Tiptronic.

But it's minging. :o It's nicer in person, but it's still a pretty ugly car. It looks all plastic.

I have to get my eyes checked, I must be the only person to think the car is beautiful. Perhaps someone who has seen one in person would like to back me up... :(

Same model, with a polish :)

It's not so bad, looks a tad too round imo.. but cars ain't always judged on how then look from the side.

The Lancer Evo's are actually almost best looking cars for my taste.. :p

I've seen a few. There are a couple near where I live, one's red the other's silver/grey. The red one looks better than the silver/grey one, but they don't know whether to be bubbly or boxey. I don't like them.

Mind you I wouldn't get an Audi TT because most of the people I see driving them are middle aged women. Neither would I get a Subaru Impreza because it seems to be becoming the mid-life crisis man's car. They're both nice cars but the sort of people that I now associate them with goes against them.

from this angle the ride actually looks like a Porche, and that is good. :p

with a little lowening on the suspension it'd actually look quite
nice on the front and side too imo

Yeah I have read about 30 reviews, I am just trying to find someone that I can easily communicate with to give me the facts.

All the FTO message boards are frequented by fanatics that sound like they are trying to sell me a car...

Nobody. :D Like I said, I've seen 2 FTOs so they haven't been 'pigeon-holed', yet. :)

Fact is I've only based this on personal experience. I'd say 75% of the TT's I've seen have been driven by middle-aged women, but then I've seen probably 40-50 of them. Nice cars though all the same.

Still, the FTO is a lot nicer than those photos you showed, (I was probably a bit harsh initially :p ) but it's not my cup-of-tea so to speak. The side-on photo made it look a bit like a Ford Puma, which is a bit too compact from front to back for my liking, the FTO is a lot more symetrical in the flesh.

I don't know anything other than what you said about it performance wise. It went up in my estimation a bit with the figures you stated. :)
