ML Story Thread

There used to be one of these for pes1 so i touight it would be cool to make its return.

You basically tell the story of your seasons at you chosen ML club.


I'll start with a condensed version of my first 6 seaosns with Inter.


Season 1
No new signings made, excpet the 4m capture of friedel. Finish3rd in division after lsoing to Monaco on the last day.

Season 2
Robinho, Javier Zanetti, Ole Solskjaer, Joaquin, Pablo aIMAR, Alessio Pierini but most vitally Roman Piliniak, captured in post season spending spree. Team disappoints finshing Sixth.

Season 3
No big new signings except Sutto in Centeral denfense. Piliniak makes first team break through replacing disappointing Robihno up front. Javier de Pedro brought in during transfer window. Finsh 6th again, but only 4 points of first place.

Season 4
Not many signings , bar Gilberto Silva, for10m and the hugely contreversial Alpay Ozolan for free. Team walk to promotion, except for needing a late goal in playoff league against fenerbache.

Season 5
In with the big boys at last. Fernando Morientes brought in in exchange from Ole Solskjaer who goes to Besiktas.Lilian Thuram is brought in in exchange for Sutto. Jacques Van Damme signed for 5m from ajax also.Season starts with a 2-1 victory away to Chievo, both goals in second half from Roman Piliniak. The start of the mighty's fall from grace. AC and Inter level at window, but Inter, feeling their squad is lacking depth bring in midfielders irishman Damien Duff (6.5m), talented young mexican Raul Mellendes[cr] (10m), and norn irish goalie Adam Wilson [cr] (9m). Inter go out of Cup in Semi finals , losing 4-2 to Ac milan. However they avenge this defeat, by winning the league with 4 games to spare.

Season 6
The new champions have a ridiculous spending spre during the summer. Zinedine Zidane( 35m + joaquin), Rivaldo(free), Jose Chamot (free), John Terry (7m), Diego Forlan (free),, David Bellion (free), Vladimir Nesmanchny (free) and Christian Doni (8m). Gilberto Silva is flogged to Sparta for 11m and Alpay to barca for 6m to make way.

Okay.With FC Barcelona

1-Finished third in the league behind Monaco and Brescia.I played well in the Cup and qualified to the finals.In the league ,my last game was away to Benfica.I lost 1-3 and Benfica stunned me with their awesome corner-taking.I knew I had to avoid those since they were my opponents in the Cup finals.After going down 0-1 at the beginning of the game ,I equalised and the entire 2nd half saw both teams playing cautiously.After extra-time ,the penalties were to be played.It was 4-4 and it was my turn.I took the penalty ,scored and then stayed in the middle of the goal for Benfica's last.Luckly ,the Benfica player shot right at my goalie and I won the Cup.

2-Won the League and went into playoff group with Monaco ,Celta and PSG.Easily beat Celta 3-0 and PSG 5-1 to win promotion.Lost the last game 0-3 to Monaco but the promotion was already won so I didn't even try to win.

Bought Rivaldo and Xavi.

3-Finished 2nd in D1 ,behind Real.Didn't win anything ,but signed Rustu and Denilson.

4-Won the League ,Real were 2nd ,and won the WEFA Championship beating Lazio 1-0 in the final.Lost in Cup semis to Valencia 1-2 on agg.

Signed Henry

5-Won the League again and the Cup ,beating Porto 1-0 in the finals.Lost to ManUtd in the WEFA finals 1-2.Manure scored in extra time.Such a shame.I could have won everything that season.

6-currently playing.I was eliminated in the WEFA ,then against in the 2nd WEFA Championship by Lazio 2-4 and 1-1.Eliminated against Real in the Cup and I'm the leader in D1 with 12 points ahead of Real.I'll easily win the league.Scored 44 ,conceeded 15.

I have 20 000 points and will sign Saviola.

Using Athletico Madrid on 5*


1 - Signed Lee Chun Soo halfway through the season but he was very disapointing and became a benchwarmer. Got knocked out of the Cup by Saha i mean Fulham. Won league just by 2 points with Castolo scoring a screamer last minute to win 2-1. Easily went through play-offs.

2 - Signed Aghahowa and Deco (got deco on a free) Finding Div.1 suprisingly easy i signed Arce halfway through the season, went through a bad run of form but clinched the title with one game to spare. Aghahowa was 2nd top scorer, and Deco top assiter, in my last game i put Vornander and Valeny upfront and Castolo and Aghahowa cente back, i won the game 3-0 lol.

I noticed i missed quite a few chances of scoring from crosses, so i signed Viduka for 11 000, part exchange with Castolo, and i also signed Zuma for 4 000 so i could push back Arce to right back to help the defence. I'm trying not to sign any big stars so my game lasts quite a while before i'm bored with it.

with Inter Milan:
1st Season (3*) : Didn't play much... 8 wins and 6 draws... but i managed to be @ 2nd place and go to the playoff with Partizan, Lyon, and Perugia... beat Partizan 1-0 (last minute penalty), Won 2-1 with Lyon, and Lose to Perugia... finished 2nd in playoff and go to Division 1 (signing: Okubo, Cha Du Ri, Ahn Jung Hwan, Suzuki)

2nd Season (3*): Win all the match except one (against Olympiakos i lost 0-1 because of penalty @ 89mins. My biggest win is against Juventus with 4-1. I also won the Division 1 cup and got into the WEFA champs. because i won every match except one, i get a lot of points and i decided to get a lot of players
Signings: (spree msotly trade in with youth players) Barthez, Knight, Cipot, Crouch, Beckham, Giggs, Koller, van Hoijdonk, Nedved, Ronaldinho, Roberto carlos, christiano ronaldo, ljungberg, viera, nwanko kanu, Jancker, Martins

3rd Season (4*) (Currently Playing): Won 10 matches already and draw one match with Roma.

My team is AC Milan.
1st season: Signed a few growth players, only used Piliniak though, and signed Aghahowa, and he got injured for almost the entire season. When he came back the team was lying on a mediocre 7th place, then i won all the remaining matches and finished a decent 3rd. Got eliminated by Fulham in the cup.
2nd season: Signed Bilica, Celso Ayala, Anders Andersson, Pierre Wome and Bertotto. This season the team cruised to victory in the Cup, Division 2 and promotion.
3rd season: Signed Boumsong, Giovanella, Saha, Olisadebe, Cristiano Ronaldo, Laurent Robert, Rivaldo and Buffon. Won the league with a measly 53 points, but won it anyway, meaning i was rich for the next season.
4th season: Got Jardel (for the aerial play of course), Ferdinand, Clarence Acuna, De La Cruz and Shevchenko. A great season overall, winning the league with only 1 defeat, winning the cup beating Juventus 2-0 in the final, and losing to Bayern the WEFA Championship, 2-0 (despite having 15 shots at goal, and they had 2... Kahn is just a bastard...).
5th season: The Chelsea Syndrome... I bought Nesta, R. Carlos, Kaká, Thomas Rosicky, Kezman and Kovacevic. Released Jardel (despite he had a great season, but Kovacevic and Kezman are just better), Olisadebe (good player but never impressed), Piliniak (not in the same level as others). Tried to sign Cafu (despite having De La Cruz that is just as good, but Cafu is taller so i wouldnt be suffering stupid goals from crosses when De La Cruz is on the ball...) but i couldnt. Up to now, 10 league games, 9 wins, 1 draw (i was winning 2-0, but 2 goals from headers, including one in the 88th minute were enough i guess..), and 6 wins on the WEFA Championship. I'll be facing Madrid next round. On the Cup i've beaten Parma 3-0, yet to play the second leg in the first round.
