Not bad, but Title IX eliminated men's baseball at a ton of colleges. My alma mater included.

It's pretty much the reason why Charlotte doesn't have a football team. A girls field hockey team is gonna be up and running next semester though and with all the money going into a possible football team right now I feel like we'll definitely have one before 2015.

Yeah but football costs more money than any other sport. That's why most D1 schools have 9 men's sports and 11 women's sports. Because football is such a huge financial commitment (even though it is one of the only sports that actually makes money) that it takes 3 women's sports to match it.

But I would 100 out of 100 times take a football team over a baseball team. So many baseball players wouldn't go to college even if it was as big as football. It would just be crappy quality. I think the few baseball programs is fine. Plus it allows a lot of DII and DIII schools to have good baseball teams, I know a lot of the UW schools have a player or two drafted every year.

I implore you guys to vote for JJ Hardy as the NL Shortstop in the All Star Game. Reyes and Rollins are having great years, but they'll get in regardless of if they start.

I mean i hate the Mets but its enough watching a Mets game at Shea to understand how specialhe is and how much fans like him. I mean they chant him: Ole ole ole Jose jose. He will be in the NL ss starting lineup for quite a while, JJ has to do something exeptional to take his spot.

I am not against anyone playing at the All Star game man, i just said that whoever will be there would have to earn it. So far Jose looks like the SS to beat and i don't see JJ doing that yet. Just my opinion.

I protest the trade because I feel I could have offered Hyun better players for Upton and Hardy, but he never countered.
